I would like to know if among us, here in the forum, is there anyone who plays the drums?
I'm trying to do a little something and I'd need a drummer :)

Depends on what you're looking for, I've dabbled in drums for a couple years but I'm still not that great. What do you need, and I'll see if I can help.

I'm not looking for no Portnoy ^_^

What I have in mind is something I've been wanting to do for a while, which is to do some group covers (group= more than one person/instrument). But instead of going with random/generic songs, since we all share one same interest here, we would play songs from N64 games. We're talking about simple arrangements, nothing too elaborated so you wouldn't need to be very advanced. You could just play as you prefer and go at your own pace.
I've talked with buddy, he'll play the guitar and I'll play the bass.

Cool idea. I used to play but I don't have a set anymore.

Hope your idea comes together. I'd like to see it!

Yeah I have the same problem as Matt, since you've gotta mic each drum that's a lot of mics, I mean if I tried I could probably get like 1 or 2 but I doubt I could get the 7 or so I'd need. :-/

Well, to be honest I no close to nothing about drum recording, so I just did a quick search on google. It seems like that if you do it right you can actually get a decent sound out of it with just one mic.
Of course we should aim to the best sound possible but it doesn't have to sound pro. I don't have the best recording interface myself. Why don't you give it a go? ;)

Drummers in the house can be very distracting at 2am when you're trying to be asleep and be at work at 7. But I know what you mean ;)
