So i'm sure most don't know this but I do have a Youtube that has over 3000 subscribers. Most of which had fled after I quit making videos for a year (Oh how I regret my stupidity) but im working on getting them back! Lately I have been posting all Rust which is a new PC game out on the market for those who arn't familiar. My channel doesn't have anything that much different. Usually I keep 2 different video game playthroughs going on at once but I just can't seem to find the next game I want to fully focus on yet.

Until than I though maybe I could play through N64 games. I've only played a handful of titles because eventually when I was able to actually buy games for myself the Playstation had come to the market which was just the newest thing and seemed cool. N64 got some neglect from back than but im back today to play all the great titles I had missed!

So I was wondering what everyones opinions on this would be. There is 1 huge problem though that kind of bothers me. In order to fully play on my N64 I need to spend around $200 on cables and specific equipment. Im the kind of guy that always goes for the original but I might just have to use an Emulator if I were to do this :(. Even if I did have all the stuff i'd need because I don't have an older TV the quality of the video would be poor aswell meaning id either need to invest another what $50-$100 on CRT stuff in order to get the best quality out of my HDTV or i'd have to pick up an older TV which I have no space for :dk: .

So much decisions. I'm really not in the market for spending that much money on all the components I would need, usually because I always feel its just not going to end up working out because of a specific TV model, etc.

But tell me, would having an N64 video game playthroughs of some of my childhood favorites on Emulator be worth it? Or do you think it takes away from the original game experience and promotes something that I shouldn't be (Emulating of course)?

If anyones truly interested here is my YouTube but as I said mostly all of the videos i've posted so far are PC: http://www.youtube.com/user/BlinkshotProductions

I subbed. I spend a LOT of time watching gamers on YouTube. I'm really interested in Rust and will probably get in on that in a few weeks.

Anyway, I think you should go for it with playing some N64 games. While it would suck not to be recording actual N64 gameplay it sounds like it would be a costly hassle so I don't think emulation would be a bad thing.

I kind of agree. Just seems like such a shame to be slowly collecting up and not being able to play the original. I do think it'll be a good series for my subscribers to watch, most of them are young and I think its a good idea to have someone introduce them to retro gaming.

Thanks for the sub. I really appreciate it :).
