And now for some anime, a new collection that I've started to build upon. Some might ask if I've seen all of this and what I thought about it. I will freely admit that I've only seen a fraction of any anime out there. The Cowboy Bebop Movie, Ghost in the Shell, some Studio Ghibli and some Naruto. That's about it. So why all of this if I haven't seen any? Because, along with comic books, these are some of the biggest genres in pop culture that I have sadly missed out on. This collection marks the beginning of a library that I hope will continue to grow with more classic animes, more new sensations and everything in between. Here we go:

Napping Princess
Grave of the Fireflies
From Up On Poppy Hill
Miss Hokusai
The Red Turtle
Only Yesterday
Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence

How am I supposed to compete with cereal? :mario:

Anyway, more stuffs:

Movies
LBJ
Roman J. Israel, Esq.
DVD Triple Pack with the following movies on it:
Forget Paris
Father's Day (1997)
My Giant

Now you may have noticed I picked up a Father's Day movie yesterday and another today and that I've notated the release years on both. I've been trying to find a blu-ray release of the 1997 Father's Day for a long time but apparently it was never made and the cheapest way I could track it down on DVD was this 3 pk. of Billy Crystal movies. Father's Day stars Billy Crystal and the late, great Robin Williams and is a comedy about two guys that are told they are the father of a runaway teen by his mom, who just so happens to be an ex-girlfriend/fling of both gentlemen. They set out to try to find their "son" and hilarity ensues, or so I remember. Tracking down this movie was a pain in the tuchus but I finally nailed it. By itself the DVD is about $20 brand new but I got this 3 pack brand new for $5.99! Can't pass that up.

As for the other Father's Day movie, well, I stumbled upon that one while searching for the other. It's a horror/comedy movie that bears no resemblance to the older movie in subject matter at all, but it still looked fun so I decided to buy them both. Yay me.

Picked up the 4K Blu-ray Steelbook releases of these at Best Buy. It'd been at least ten years since I'd seen the first one, enjoyed it more than I expected. Daniel Craig with an American accent is quite comical. ^_^

I couldn't see it as anything but a disservice to myself if I didn't pick up the book behind one of this year's most awaited and anticipated movies for those of us who love video games and pop culture in general. Not sure if I'll read it before going to see the movie or after (probably after since movie adaptations are usually not on par with the source material, even when the movies are outstanding) but I'll have it for either occasion.
