Veteran Posts: 1,371 Group: Senior Members Member #567 Joined: July 21, 2011	Dusted off the n64 tonight, hooked it up on an old CRT TV and set up shop in the college condo. Currently a junior in college, bored Wednesday night so 6 other friends all eventually came over and we had a nostalgia blast at around midnight. Started off with Goldeneye, then to Mario Kart, and ended with Smash bros. Incredibly fun time, took 25 minutes to hook up cuz we couldnt figure out the input but definitely worth it. Lotta sweat, lotta tears, lotta beers, but placed first in this amateur tournament. Alcohol helped a ton, truth be told it was really sloppy play.. Been a while since I posted, figured I'd share this sketched "trophy" one guy drew on our drywall drunk. Off instagram, would have yelled that our wall was getting drawn on, but since he kept saying it was "a trohpy" I let em do it. lol. Y'all have a good one, keep the N64 spirit alive! Latter-day Nostradamus Posts: 3,243 Group: Legendary Member #457 Joined: March 8, 2011	Mario Kart 64 and Super Smash Bros. are two games that definitely help keep the N64 legend alive. Goldeneye hasn't aged as well because of its framerate issues so it helps to be inebriated when playing it.

I like adding Perfect Dark in there if there are two or less people due to the sims. I also think Mario Party if you're in that sort of mood goes down well. It's a brilliant multiplayer game that offers various modes like Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture-The-Flag to keep things interesting. It also looks really nice if your N64 has an Expansion Pak installed.

I've never played TRW so I can't really comment although I can say you can do all those modes on Goldeneye and I think Perfect Dark too. Not to mention the man with the golden gun. That game would be lost cause however great it is for me though because I never play multiplayer anymore I don't know people who like to play 64 anymore... Apart from my gf who loves stuff like Toy Story 2

Newbie Posts: 17 Group: Established Members Member #2,364 Joined: August 4, 2014	I'm glad there are just some game tourneys that never get old. To this day my friends and I do a Mario Kart, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and Smash Bros tournaments, drinking of course. Or Twisted Metal 2 for PS1. 18 years and I'm still loving that game
