I'll definitely keep an eye on your progress and would love to play through in Co op but I think the time difference would cause a problem. I have the wonderful 101 but haven't really given it a proper go yet so if you do get it then maybe then would be a great time to compare notes. Also thinking of buying Metal Gear Rising as that game never appealed to me because of the style of game but if its half the game Bayonetta 1+2 were then I think it would be great fun. In honor of finishing the game I've changed my avatar

Finally made it to Hell. Love how the game toss you back and forth between fighting angels and demons. There is one carry over boss that I'm dreadful at beating...Golem. It's a sphere surrounded by bricks that morph into various weapons of attack. I surmise the inner sphere is the weak point, but not a clue how to expose it. Regardless, stoned my way through 2 Golems tonight before entering the Not so Pearly Gates |

I found the best way to beat the bosses your not sure of is to take a full yellow and red Lollipop and just keep hacking at them

Holy moly, things ramp up a bit in Hell. Enemies come in waves; got turned into Toddler Bayonetta (how??) and finally lost a life and got to hear "The shadow remains hot". The game has finally returned to that eerie feeling of not knowing and fearing what is around the corner that B1 basically had from the word go. Outstanding. I rescued Jeanne' soul and now its on the Chapter 12. B has another date with Goldie Mask. |

Ah, man, this past week will go down in the annals of my life's story as a lost week of gaming. Sure, I supervised the kids play of Disney Infinity 2.0 and occasionally, my daughter asked me to finish a Mario 3D World stage that she was struggling with, but that was it. Don't worry buddy and Cereza, I will resume play asap and be sure to report back. |

Oh, no! Chicken pox is rough! Hope your seeing the light of that miserable tunnel!! UPDATE: I finished the thrill ride that is Bayonetta 2 last night. ![]() I whipped through the last 4 or so chapters. The bow and arrow was particularly helpful against the last two main bosses, esp. with Umbran Climax. There were some GREAT tie-ins with Bayonetta 1 really nice touch. Spoiler: click to toggle B2 was far less tedious than B1. It was certainly easier, but Platnium also removed the cheap jump-now!-deaths and most statue timing sequences than cost me a ton of lives/time in B1. The Umbran Climax was like an epic power up (think Spray Gun in Contra or "the rake" in Star Soldier). Sure it makes life much easier but its so darn fun to whip the baddies like that for a spell. The storyline was a bit hard to follow, even knowing the B1 story. Still Bayonetta is a awesome character (in the Samus tier IMHO). Buddy, there was only one point in a cut scene I saw some pixelation. It was of the floating Lumen. The rest of that scene was fine, as were the others. Bottom line: Platinum did a great job here. I hope to play another of their titles after Christmas (I have it on good authority Santa may be bringing me a copy of the Wonderful 101.) Edited by bluedogrulez, Dec 21 2014, 01:31 PM.

Congrats, glad you finished it. I enjoyed it a lot but did find it much easier than B1. To be honest I struggled with the story on B1+2 but I didnt find it too interesting so during the cuts scenes I was always playing on my phone so its no wonder I didnt follow it so well Its weird that I had pixelation half way through the game (it was pretty bad). Maybe its my disc, hopes its not my Wii U. So after Christmas we're start Wonderful 101

Played Tag Climax for about 30 mins last night. Basically, you pick a boss battle and fight the arena-style battle with a partner. You can bet halos and select the difficulty. It seems you not only want to win six consecutive battles, but also score more halo points than your partner in each battle (more later). First I played online with a random gamer. He choose the battle, set the difficulty, and set the halo bet. We got thrashed. I think I lost the cards we used (so if I want to re-battle those bosses, I have to earn those card back in the game???) Enough. Then I played with a CPU partner. I set the terms. We whipped through 6 battles....but I only "won" once...the time I revived my dead partner. Pretty confusing because my Bayonetta was inflicting some serious damage. I did win 60,000 halos, 24K coming from the one battle I "won". I have to give Tag climax another run because I can see potential, but was left confused last night as to the whole win the battle lose the war concept. |

I'm actually somewhat surprised it took this long for Bayonetta to make it into Smash Bros. but good for those of you who are playing the game. My new mission in life now is to track down the Cloud Strife amiibo when it arrives. |
