Racing for Fulcon Capital Posts: 9,324 Group: Admin Member #281 Joined: March 8, 2010	I've blown the dust off my Splatoon disc recently, and had two recent sessions. The first one was god awful. Played the new Museum course and got pasted. Bombs and bubblers everywhere! But last night, I returned to form in the familiar confines of the Mall and the Warehouse. 11 and 1. Probably my session ever. Even pasted a 50 ranked player ... twice! I have still not yet played with anyone, save the great Boomdiers, since the update many months ago that allowed friend matches. If there is one improvement for this game, it would be to allow me to skip Squid Jump/Squid Racer and allow me to find/invite friends during the between match downtime. Otherwise, it remains a gem and adequate reason to get a Wii U.

Coffee Drinker Posts: 2,024 Group: Moderators Member #1,870 Joined: October 27, 2013	Weather is supposed to get nasty here. One of my thanksgivings is already cancelled. I'm hoping to get some Splatoon time in tomorrow. I am liking the game as even at my low levels, like you said you can still splat people with higher levels and better equipment. Even if I'm off trying to avoid combat and paint the map, I still feel like I'm helping my team. I can tell there are definitely players that are better than me. But it retains that Nintendo quality where people of all different skill levels can play together and still have fun.

That is a HUGE help!! Many times, times will have snipers and "hunters" that really don't focus on painting the map. Hello, this is Nintendo, it's about painting the map, not killing folks! IMHO it is especially important to paint those secluded alleyways that the other team can't easily reach and that you're team members don't want to be detoured to (i.e., the rims of the Skatepark) . . . they tend to stay painted the whole time. The other thing is that there are newbies who just rock at shooters, so their Rank 10 is pretty deceiving! My wife has girl plans on Saturday night, so after the kids go down 9:30ish (NYC Time), look for me (DadE08) if you are splatting!
