Mine has to be my yoshi international cart, the only pick I've got at the mo

That's a tough question to ask one's self...
but i've had these for some time.

For now, i'll give a short description. This is the complete set of Kyojin no Doshin comics/manga. These tomes are a legitimate item in the Doshin/64DD collecting lore. I can say that the artwork was made by the same storyboard artist(s) that made the animations of unlockable content in Doshin the Giant 2.

I don't have the complete story of the items' origin ironed out just yet, but when i do, i plan to elaborate further in our 64DD section where they belong.

At the moment, i consider them special to me because it is one thing my esteemed colleague Vinyl, does not have, yet. ;)

Wow there's some amazing stuff in this thread already!

Along with all the games one thing I like to collect are promotional items, they may not have a high monetary value but they really help to make my collection different from everyone else. Out of everything I currently own I think my most prized jewel has to be this postcard for Conker's Bad Fur Day. Not only is it nice to have something that ties into one of my favourite games on the system, but best of all the postcard was actually sent out to me back in 2001. So printed on the back is my name and address, it truly is something unique in my collection:

mine is the Mario Kart Gold Controller Contest controller from the March 1997 Nintendo Power issue. I've tried so much to be part of it to realise Quebec was out of the contest automatically for some stupid laws enforce by government regarding language & translation issues. I was massively annoyed when I heard that that one day I said if I could find one, I'd buy it no matter what. 4 years ago I see one pop up on ebay from the original owner with the letter and all, so yes I had to grab it & won the auction.

Never heard of that controller before, really cool.
Everybody here has really nice gems.

I think my favorite item might just be the I love Techno Value Pak. I do have rarer stuff but the history is so unique and somehow I just fell in love with it.

worst part is, it's nothing else than a plain Gold Controller. Those Mario Raceway lap time are atrocious. I remember being in the 1:20 when I tried to submit mine lol

It's been enjoyable looking through all your really cool and scarce items. I have nothing in that sort of league but I will share the real jewels in my collection as they are equally valid on a different merit.

1) My original Goldeneye Nintendo 64 from Christmas 1998. Only recently my dad found the Goldeneye sleeve in his attick making my original console package complete again. Everything you see is as it was originally albeit the controller I replaced with a minter. My old grey controller was thrown out years ago because I kid you not, the stick was like hanging out because I used to play the crap out of Goldeneye with my brother when we got this. This really does bring me joy just to look at. Nostalgia central right here.

2) Picking up a CIB Indiana Jones & The Infernal Machine was an achievement for me as being a UK citizen they are not so readily available. Furthermore, I got it at a reasonable price. This was a game I remember seeing in an N64 magazine and one which I longed to play (being an IJ fan) and especially with the N64 being my favourite platform but obviously I never had the opportunity. Playing it now again is a real joy. You have to accept it is never going to be the standard of IJ & The Emperor's Tomb on the Xbox which I played before this and once you see past that it is actually a great game and the Tomb Raideresk game for the N64. I still need to complete this.

There is no spoon.
There are a lot of good games that I prize among my N64 games library. For me, as I look over my N64 collection, it has to be my copy of Bangai O. May not seem like much for others, but for me, I waited too long to finally be able to snag a copy. I am a big fan of shootem ups. It is what sparked the gaming fever in me many years ago. To have this game complete and in super shape is totally unexpected.

Makes a smile on my face when I see all those crown jewels. amazing!

And Supermariosan100, I don`t know what you are hoping for but as it said above, it's an Controller test cart prototype (at least I think that is the name of it) I made a video just to explain what it does (here) saves a ton of text to explain it =p .Never seen another one besides the "full" test cart.

Milage, I love how you mention a crown jewel of yours is your original Goldeneye007. Nostalgia, I think, always trumps monetary value.

I don't have anything that rare. I managed to find a copy of Indiana Jones a few years ago at a local used game store for $15. Really the only half way rare thing I have. I do have an old playable Super Mario Watch :yeah:

x2 on childhood games. My Goldeneye 007, Mario 64 and Perfect Dark maxed out with all of my childhood unlocks are the items most dear to me in the collection.

But some of my more unique items:

Conker condoms, stickers, urinal cover (sealed)... got the Press Kit / whoopie cushion / coaster set (4 different ones) too:

Rev A / Rev B Test carts. Rev B is incredibly rare, less than a handful I'm aware of.

Amazing stuff lads, love the fact that we are getting the best of both worlds. I know people put alot of time and money into collecting, that's why there is alot of rare items on show, but I like that there is stuff that people have had since teenage years, or just the that they got a really good deal.

This thread rocks. So cool to see some rare stuff, and especially cool to see the more sentimental stuff. I really dig Cabanon's Mario Kart controller and photos. I was SO that guy back in the day. Never won anything cool like that though.

I don't think I have anything rare or valuable. But even if I did, I think the Megariffic NES controller I got for my birthday a couple years ago would still take the cake.

I don't really know what I would consider my jewel in my collection...
I don't really think monetary value plays into much for me. I have a few "rare" expensive items but they aren't my favorites by any means.
I do enjoy the fact that I still have my original N64 from when I was a kid.
