- Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex

Nintendo GameCube

Wii
- NEW Resident Evil Zero

Nintendo 3DS
- LBX: Little Battlers eXperience

Resident Evil Zero has been beaten and the 2016 Wii list gets started up! Not the most exciting game in the series plotwise, but it did one thing that Revelations couldn't: do the team-up gameplay right! Yes your partner actually matters in this one and is just as vulnerable and tasty looking to zombies as you are. While some will probably hate having to watch ypur partner's back all the time, I thought it added to the scares in a positive way and can safely recommend this game full on. Oh and be prepared to see more Resident Evil completions from me by the end of the year.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse has been beaten and, for the first time ever, an Xbox One list gets started by me. As for the game itself, this one ties with Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (Wii version) as my favorite DBZ fighting game. I am so glad to finally be able to create more than just a Saiyan for custom characters and the gameplay trumps Ultimate Tenkaichi too. Full on recommendation from me especially if you want to play a DBZ game that puts a new spin on the same ol' story you've played over and over again. :yeah:

I wasn't feeling this first episode too much. Not sure if its because I don't know the Michonne character all that well since I've only made it two seasons into the TV show and I've never read the graphic novels but I didn't feel that much connection with anyone and played it as if I was a bad :donkey: who didn't care about anyone. We'll see how this plays out.

Firewatch - PS4 (February 15, 2016)
The Walking Dead - Michonne: Episode 1 - In Too Deep - Xbox 360 (March 3, 2016)

WWE 2K16's 2K Showcase (Austin 3:16 & Hall of Fame) have been beaten. It was awesome going through the history of my absolute favorite wrestler as well as some other hall of famers, but I think it could have been done better. If it had less (preferably zero) QTEs and explained some events better, it would have been perfect. Still, I recommend WWE 2K16 for current gen systems full on. It's an amazing improvement from the previous game.

My first full length PS4 game is in the bag and it was a game I've already completed before on PS3. :P It sure was great going back to Los Santos, though.

While February was a slow month for me (MGS: Peace Walker was pretty involving, and as yet in progress), I'm still a little behind posting in this thread... as I finished a few games this month. I was gifted the copy of Life is Strange (and so I felt a little more compelled to play it, along with all the heaps of praise the game has received), and finally checked off two smaller games from the PSN freebie backlog... only a few hundred remain!!

Life is Strange - what can I say... just... wow. Most amazing mix of gameplay premise & plot of any game I've ever played, that I can remember. Really an amazing, enjoyable experience! Not only that... but an excellent job by Ashly Burch (of "Hey Ash Whatcha Playin'" fame) voicing Chloe!! :yeah:

Zombie Tycoon II - Quite enjoyed this one (as a relative newb to the RTS genre), and it's not that often you playing a game from the zombies' side!

Chronovolt - Another fun, (even) short(er) little game. Level designs allowed for some cheeky exploits, and the plot was completely forgettable, but the gameplay was plenty fine.

games/DLC finished this year:
01/01 - PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate HD (100%)
01/11 - Splinter Cell: Blacklist (100%)
03/05 - Life is Strange (100%)
03/13 - Zombie Tycoon II: Brainhov's Revenge (100%)
03/19 - Chronovolt (100%)
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Another one down. Really wanted to get back into the Pokemon series for a long time. Now, with monday to friday midweeks being away from home, seems like the perfect time. Every night I played a couple hours and before I knew I beat it. Pokemon Y is down is less than 24 hours of actual gameplay time, wich is shorter than I remember from the earlier entries (first Gen), but it really felt like a nostalgia trip.

WiiU
Yoshi's Woolly World (feb 15th)
Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush (feb 24th)

3DS
Pokemon Y (mar 21)

Xbox

Wii
- Resident Evil Zero
- NEW Klonoa

Nintendo 3DS
- LBX: Little Battlers eXperience

Xbox One
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse
- WWE 2K16 (2K Showcase)

How about one more for Pokemon, eh? Pokemon Black Version has been beaten, kicking off this year's Nintendo DS list. Like it's direct sequel, I probably would have enjoyed this more if gen 6 didn't already spoil me, but I still had a ton of fun. Black 2 is the one you want for game content, but Black 1 has the better plot. Buy 'em both if you can so you can link the two together!

UPDATE (3/24/16) - Klonoa has been beaten. Easily one of the best platformers I've ever played. It started off incredibly easy, but those tough puzzles and tight jumps really come in during that second half. And that ending... wasn't expecting that one bit. Another recommendation from me though make sure to get the Wii version. It's a lot cheaper than the PS1 original and comes with extras after the main game has been beaten.

UPDATE (3/27/16) - Two more completions coming in! Walt Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour and Street Sk8er have been beaten! Magical Racing Tour is an often overlooked solid kart racer that is definitely worth picking up. Street Sk8er, on the other hand, is utter garbage. Don't even waste your time or pennies ordering that one.

Well, I managed to polish off two more game completions this month/since my last post. Both designed as handheld games... but on opposite ends of the spectrum (one a short-ish casual-type game, and the other a pretty time-intensive story-heavy triple-A game).

Run Sackboy! Run! was a fun little endless runner-type game... and the first of its kind I really actually spent more than 2 minutes playing. Pretty fun little mindless spin-off from the LittleBigPlanet franchise... not at all deep, fairly heavily-laden with enticing micro-transactions, and pretty grindy... which is expected. Pretty happy I never caved and paid for any boosts within the game, tempting as it was. I think this might be my first free-to-play game/completion ever. Possibly my last. (I realize now that only LBP3 remains, and then I would have all LBP games & spin-offs under my belt!) :w00t:

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD was (and continues to be) a pretty enjoyable game. Also, the first MGS game I've ever played! ^_^ Having recently played/loved Splinter Cell: Blacklist, I thought the story & gameplay in MGS:PW were only alright... kinda goofy and clunky (respectively), but plenty excusable considering this was originally released as a PSP title back in 2010. But like Blacklist, PW is an EXCELLENT game to play co-op! (which is what I'm currently doing) Also... never have I ever experienced a game where you'll end up spending 75%-90% of your 100% completion in the end-game, trying to rank up your staff and S-rank the multitude of "Extra-ops" after you've completed all the story missions. Talk about extending your gameplay time... (FYI: logged ~170hrs thus far)

games/DLC finished this year:
01/01 - PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate HD (100%)
01/11 - Splinter Cell: Blacklist (100%)
03/05 - Life is Strange (100%)
03/13 - Zombie Tycoon II: Brainhov's Revenge (100%)
03/19 - Chronovolt (100%)
03/26 - Run Sackboy! Run! (100%)
03/27 - Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD (100%)

Wario Land: Shake It! has been beaten! As the first Wario Land game I've ever completed, this is one of the best 2D platformers I own. Unfortunately, I believe it was overshadowed on release by the heavily pushed Wii Music. If you enjoy slower paced platformers where the main focus is to use your abilities to solve puzzles (and get moolah!) then this game is for you! :wario:

Resident Evil has been beaten! Of all the Resident Evil games I've played, this is probably the second scariest to me (only being bested by RE2). Do I recommend picking this one up? Absolutely. Do I recommend playing as both characters back to back? Well, unless you really want that unlockable content, absolutely not. If there's one con I can give this game, it's that both scenarios are too similar to each other. Good thing they rectify this in the sequels.

Hey thanks! If I'm being honest with myself, the main reason why RE2 beats the other games when it comes to scares is because of Mr. X. I have the N64 version of the game so cutscenes aren't the clearest which means I had no idea he was in the building. The first time I actually met him, I paused the game out of instinct and wondered what I did to deserve this. Anyway...

PlayStation

- NEW Ghost Squad

Nintendo 3DS
- LBX: Little Battlers eXperience

Xbox One
- Dragon Ball Xenoverse
- WWE 2K16 (2K Showcase)

Prototype 2 has been beaten and the Xbox 360 list is created! I might be in the minority in this, but I think Prototype 2 is better than the first game. The gameplay (for the most part) went untouched, but the storyline interested me more. Plus, not many games have you kill the same guy you were controlling in the previous game. I love it. If you liked Prototype, you're going yo love Prototype 2. If you didn't like Prototype then I doubt this game will change your mind on the series.

UPDATE (4/12/16): Ghost Squad and Bust-a-Move '99 have been beaten. Heh... sounds like a day at the arcade to me. Both of these games are short, but very replayable and come recommended for on-rail shooter fans and puzzle fans respectively. Just try not to laugh too hard at Ghost Squad's horrendous voice acting.

Bully: Scholarship Edition has been beaten. Incredible game but, if you're planning to buy it, you might want a version other than the one on Wii. The motion controls were fun during mini games, but thr game itself had dome console-exclusive glitches that would dampen the fun at times. Other than that, another recommendation from me. :yeah:

Star Fox Zero and Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble have been beaten. Star Fox Zero is one of the best games I've played in recent history. The controls took some getting used to but, once I got used to them, the fun really started. Easy recommendation from me.

Sonic Triple Trouble isn't nearly as Star Fox Zero or any of the Genesis Sonic games, but it's possibly the best Game Gear Sonic game not named Sonic Drift 2 or Tails Adventure. A very nice improvement over the handheld's version of Sonic 2 though it still has it's problems. If you're dead set on getting a traditional Sonic platformer on the Game Gear, this is the one to get.

Managed to complete a couple of Megadrive games this past week. I've never played rocket knight before but saw it on a Youtube video and picked it up. I think it has to be one of my favourite megadrive games, really enjoyed the gameplay,it was challenging but fair, a game you can get a little further in each time you play. Anyone who likes platformers should pick this up.

Robocop Vs Terminator is a game I've been playing since I was a kid but I've never completed it. Got to the last boss lots of times but he always beat me so even though I feel bad about it I played it through on easy mode this time and finished lol. At least its another off the list and a great game.
