Still working on Vice City but having a break from that I won the World Cup with England on World Cup 98. It was fun. We had a great team that year. Only played 2min games as time to game comes at a premium these days! Used to be a favourite of mine back in the day this. But I have to say ISS 2000 is by far the best football (soccer) game on the 64 for me.

SNES:
Donkey Kong Country 2
Super Mario Kart

PS1:
Resident Evil

N64:
Goldeneye 007
Resident Evil 2 (Claire B)
World Cup 98

GameCube:

Yeah it wasn't their finest hour. England were unlucky as well. I think had Beckham not got himself sent off against Argentina it could have been very different. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Nice to relive it on this game and win it though! About all England will ever win football wise in my lifetime is on a video game... X_D

Mario Party DS and Beyblade: Metal Masters have been beaten! Unlike Mario Party Advance, which did it's own thing, Mario Party DS brings that classic Mario Party goodness in the palm of your hands. Classic Party Mode makes a return as does a Story Mode made standard in some of the later MP games. I even heard you only need one copy of the game for multiplayer, which takes care of one of the biggest problems with handheld multiplayer gaming. Of course, everyone still needs a DS, so... yeah maybe it's best to stick with the consoles for multiplayer. However, I can totally recommend Mario Party DS for single player fun. :yeah:

Can't say the same for Beyblade, however. I thought it was a nice game when I first tried it out a while back, but beating the Arcade mode was a complete cakewalk even for a children's game. Even if you don't spam your super move (which is very easy to do), you could probably beat the game on your second try tops if you spin your top fast enough. I mean it could be worse (Beyblade for PS1... *shutters*), but I can't recommend this game to anyone other than very young kids and that's only if they want an ego boost.

Tyger Hanhelds omg! How hard is to find one these days in your area?
Used to see a lot in my city when I was at school (1989-1995), I never had it(too expensive) and now I never see it (and more expensive).
I remember seeing a unknown kid playing Street Fighter II and everybody surrouding him at that times.

Just finished off Vice City tonight. Story mode so not 100% like all jumps and packages etc. I forgot how short this game is really. Probably completed it in less than 10 sittings and of which quite lengthy so I was knocking large chunks out at a time. Very fun none the less. I loved the 80s style. Funny, when I got this back in the day I knew most of the music because it's all stuff my dad likes and used to play when I was younger.

As I said to Kart in another thread, when this game came out it was just the nuts. It doesn't hold up that well but it is so much fun to play. First GTA to introduce helicopters etc it really was a step up from GTA III.

Going to move on to GTA San Andreas next. Will do GTA 5 again after. Will try and finish some N64 titles I am working on in and around doing those when and if I can.

I'm almost doing 100% on GTA San Andreas HD on PS3. I already bought both Vice City and the classic GTAIII on PS2 Classics, they will be next also. Sadly I dont have PS4 yet to get the trophies.

Just completed gears of War on the xbox one. Played GOW when it released on the 360 but it never clicked with me and I could never find the enthusiasm to get passed the first level. Couple of years ago I completed #2. Must say I really enjoyed this game, really good fun although can be a bit repetitive sometimes.

In all honesty, I think I have only finished 3 games so far this year, which are:

- Catherine (PS3)
- Metal Gear Solid V; The Phantom Pain (PS3)
- The Legend of Zelda; Majora's Mask 3D (3DS)

There are so many unfinished games on my shelf...
I really need to find more time to play games...

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai has been beaten! Another game I've beaten before on a different console. The gameplay isn't nearly as good as I remember, but I still think it's okay. One thing the game has got going for it are it's cinematic cutscenes. I haven't seen another Dragon Ball game put this much effort into them. Well I can't recommend this to everyone, but fans of the show will definitely want to pick this one up.

EDIT: Whoops! Almost forgot another completion! The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX has been beaten! While technically the worst top-down Zelda I've ever beaten (not counting Four Swords), I still had a lot of fun with it and recommend the game to action-adventure fans everywhere. If only they made item management more... well, managable. Too much having to pause the game to switch items every few second.

Man, after looking at this topic I feel quite embarrassed as I haven't completed a single game this year. My attention span is very short so I tend to get halfway through a game and get bored regardless of the game's quality.

I am currently play Mass Effect (Xbox 360) so I may get to add that to the non-existent list. I am due a play through of Zelda: OoT. Usually complete it once a year more or less.

Same here but I still can't keep my attention span going. All the stranger considering I've completed Zelda: OoT so many times. Super Mario 64 too for that matter.

I've made a start on San Andreas. As this one is quite lengthy (as I remember it), I'll probably knock a few shorter games out in between to vary it up a bit. At the end of my evening I knocked out the World Cup on 2002 FIFA World Cup on the GameCube. After playing World Cup 98 and finishing what could have been for England, it sparked memories of what potentially should have been for England in 2002, but for some terrible goal keeping against Brazil, a tournement I remember very well, at just 13 years of age at the time.

Goldeneye 007 has been beaten! Like Ocarina of Time, I've beaten the (main) final level before, but I never played the game from beginning to end until now. A part of me wishes my friend and I did Secret Agent instead due to Agent being much easier than I remembered, but that Jungle stage, man... *shudders* Anyway, easy recommendation from me. Many years later and it's still fun to play.

I don't make the rules for this, but I would think if say it was an NES game played on the Wii U via the Virtual Console it would.

I don't normally post in this thread but I'm so excited I gotta tell someone! I finally beat Majora's Mask yesterday for the first time in my life!!! :link:

It's sad because I've owned it since I joined this site (in 2012 :o ) but just now got the motivation to sit down and beat it all in about a week.
