I enjoyed the story in this one the most out of all the games and the ending way (in my opinion) perfect. I also played through Castle of illusion on Megadrive @ normal difficultly setting and finished it in 40 minutes. I had this game as a kid but I playing through it none of it seems familiar to me which is weird. Not the best platformer on the system but was ok. Walking was too slow and the jumping was too floaty. |

Have completed Mafia III. I thought it was a fairly good game. Got a bit repetitive after a while but overall the story was great and gameplay imo was good too. So, worse than my last post in this thread, I'm even MORE shamefully behind in posting updates of my completions this year. Surge Deluxe (PSV) - I think this was a free game, or at least offered as a freebie through PS+. At least I hope so... not really sure if I would want to pay much anything for it. It was an enjoyable, kind of unique matching-block puzzle game, though it relied far more on reflexes than any other (actually cognitive) puzzle-solving skills.  /10Men's Room Mayhem (PSV) - I remember buying this when it was released, primarily to support the ex-Studio Liverpool (i.e. WipEout) devs, with only a half-hearted intention of actually playing it. But this summer, play it I did! A fun take off the multi-tasking burger-shop-type mobile game-style game. And actually kind of challenging, if you go for the 100%.  /10BreakQuest: Extra Evolution (PSV) - A fun little brick-breaker game with unique stages and even bosses! This one I KNOW is a free-to-play game, but a fairly decent one, despite some glitch that hit my download of the game, requiring me to either pay real money for any balls to use, or have a friend who would be kind enough to gift me some extras. (Thankfully it was the latter for me... and I was able to hit the 100% without a penny spent.) /10Uncharted: Fight for Fortune (PSV) - A typical Uncharted game THIS IS NOT. It's a spin-off card game from the franchise... it shares the title and characters of the series, but that's really as far as the similarities go. As long as you enjoy CCGs (collectible card games), you should have fun with this one.  /10Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (PS4) - Yes, it's that good. Period.  /10DRIVER San Francisco (PS3) - Perhaps the best, most plot-driven (lol pun) driving/racing game EVER. It came out in 2011, but still feels very, very current and polished. Plenty enjoyable story and a slew of very unique (though now, somewhat dead) online multiplayer modes. /10Batman: Arkham VR (PS4 - PSVR) - My very first VR/PSVR game/experience. Fell in love with VR. Fell deeper in love with Batman.  /10Wayward Sky (PS4 - PSVR) - It was the demo of this game that made me a believer of (PS)VR back in 2015, and the full game certainly didn't disappoint. As this game proves, 3rd person point-click adventure can work WELL in VR!! /10Binary Domain (PS3) - The very definition of an underappreciated, overlooked gem from last gen. A very impressive game that brought a number of unique things to the table (namely, the trust mechanic). Also, you shoot robots. Lots and lots of robots. Also, the 100% is deceptively long and hard... I'm pretty certain I've clocked close to 300+ hours on this game between February and tonight.  /10games/DLC finished this year: 01/01 - PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate HD (100%) 01/11 - Splinter Cell: Blacklist (100%) 03/05 - Life is Strange (100%) 03/13 - Zombie Tycoon II: Brainhov's Revenge (100%) 03/19 - Chronovolt (100%) 03/26 - Run Sackboy! There's a few games I need to put just a little more effort into to finish, so I think I can grow this list before the end of the year. |

I hated this game at first and found it so boring but 4 hours in I found it really hard to put down. Great game that I will be playing again at some point Noticed loads of graphics clitches though which was a bit off putting.

Having already started another game I thought it would be fitting to complete the last game I began, Hitman: Absolution. This was my first Hitman game and I wasn't all that impressed. The characterizations were just a little too over the top for me. On the other hand, the game play was exceedingly fun and has me looking forward to the new game's eventual physical release. Since I don't think I'll "beat" anymore games this year I'll go ahead and post my completions for the year. I've been pretty busy this year. I think you can tell what my favorite console was N64 Blues Brothers 2000 Body Harvest Castlevania ( Reinhardt and Carrie ) Chameleon Twist Chameleon Twist 2 Conker's Bad Fur Day Diddy Kong Racing Fighters Destiny ( unlocked all characters and moves ) Goemon's Great Adventure GoldenEye ( Secret Agent ) Hey You Pikachu Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine Jet Force Gemini Mickey Speedway USA Mischief Makers ( S Ranks ) Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon Perfect Dark ( Secret Agent ) Pokemon Snap Rampage World Tour ( All 129ish rounds ) Resident Evil 2 ( Leon A-B, Claire A-B, A rank speedruns ) Robotron 64 ( All 200 Rounds ) Rocket Robot on Wheels ShadowGate 64 South Park ( for all intents and purposes. ) Space Station Silicon Valley *StarShot Space Circus Fever *Star Wars Shadows of the Empire Toy Story 2 Yoshi's Story It's been pretty fun. My collection went from about 30 games to almost 90 this year and it's all mostly quality. I just added two new games to my post. Star Wars Shadows of the Empire and Starshot Space Circus Fever. I also added Castlevania 3 because I forgot I had played that one because I borrowed it from a friend. I'm afraid. I hope I'm not forgetting any other games.

Yeah I did actually. Here's the post I made after beating most of my Rareware games. http://s9.zetaboards.com/Nintendo_64_Forever/single/?p=10002418&t=420579 I obviously used a guide for that so I knew which character to take into each level, then I used the guide if I just couldn't find one for some reason. Jet Force Gemini took me about 18 hours with a guide handy, I bet people who played it back in 1999 would have spent months playing it without a guide. |

Like I said when nominating this game as N64Forever's GOTY, this is one of the best Pokemon games I've ever played not. Not my absolute favorite, but certainly in my top 3. The main thing that holds it back from being #1 for me is how baby-proof the game can feel sometimes with it's super long (and poorly disguised) tutorial, a Pokedex that tells you exactly where you need to go at all times and man-made barricades that seem to outright forbid exploration. Other than that (and a few minor things), this was great stuff! I do plan on doing any extra episodes the game might have post-credits, so this may get updated before the year is done. This game comes highly recommended from me and I'm glad at least some of the new changes Nintendo made (like replacing gyms eith the much more interesting trials) were for the better.

And Rise of the Tomb Raider is in the books. Really fun game but I didn't quite like it as much as the reboot. This will probably be the last completion of the year what with the holidays and all upon us but I'll be starting The Last Guardian next so I suppose there is a chance. With those, even though I'll still be playing stuff (I have a decent backlog), I'm considering the seventh generation to be 'finished' for me. I've already been on the eighth-gen with handhelds for a while, and barring any surprises I'll be unwrapping a PS4 on Christmas, so it's time to move on. It was a pretty poor FPS and by far the worst Turok game but I still enjoyed it by the end. Poor AI and really buggy, only paid a couple of quid so I got my moneys worth.
