So I figured that as a community with an interest in games and at least a little extra spending money we should have a thread focused around Kickstarter projects that we think are worth backing. For those of you who don't know what Kickstarter is, it is a website where people/companies put up projects (whether it be a new piece of tech or a game or really anything) and try to get it funded by people on the internet in exchange for rewards such as special collectors editions or your name in the credits. It is worth checking out from time to time to see if there is anything good. =) With that said I start it off with a few suggestions myself: Project Resurgence: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/nectargamestudios/project-resurgence?ref=category_popular This is a fun looking old crpg style game that looks like there is already some good progress made J64: A Region Mod for NTSC N64 Consoles https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/windygaming/j64-a-region-mod-for-ntsc-n64-consoles?ref=category_popular (and I already mentioned this one when asking about wall mounts but figured I should put it here) Linked to the Wall: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/997859281/linked-to-the-wall-video-game-cartridge-mounts?ref=category_newest These are wall mounts to display games with mounts for old school cart games (including n64) as well as disc or handhelds Hope you all find some fun Kickstarters to share

Found another cool game that is going to close for funding in 2 and a half days. It is an old school, retro styled racing game. Thought it was cool. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/noctet/slipstream?ref=home_popular |

that J64 thing is pretty pointless, you can just remove the thing.

It's convenient if you don't have a dremel tool and prefer the inside of your N64 looking clean. Edited by Rocky, Jan 15 2016, 07:07 PM.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1655502920/wandersong?ref=category This game actually looks interesting. Some good story in a platformer where you progress through the game by making your character sing. Sweet. Edited by KnightlyGaming, Jan 29 2016, 11:57 PM.

Pretty good idea to set up this thread KG. I hadn't heard of Kickstarter until the whole Shenmue III news last year. Such relief. I will be acquiring a physical copy of the PS4 release on the back of my contribution! Happy days! |

Here is a cool Kickstarter for a WW2 shooter! Been so long since we've had one since everything changed to modern warfare... https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bulkheadinteractive/battalion-1944-pc-xb1-ps4?ref=category_ending_soon

This project is Gameboy inspired. Kinda reminds me of kirby/megaman combo but with mages instead: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1449928723/moira-0?ref=category_newest |

Nice find! It's about time they translated this book into English. I'm very curious to see what the Box Art Collection book is like, sadly there's no previews of that. |

Controller Collecting Extraordinaire
|
I only recently heard/saw this through a YouTuber who I follow (glennplant) and it didn't take much convincing for me to decide to back this kickstarter. I picked up the Box Art Collection Pack. Can't wait to see it... it gets released 4 days before my birthday, but I probably won't get it in the mail until after since they are likely shipped out of Europe. |

Found this game on Kickstarter that looked interesting. Seems like it will fill the niche of exploration as well as some fun customization/abilities. It even has a demo which is nice to see with a kickstarter. Also I gotta admit I like the art style so far. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1355836783/woven-solve-puzzles-by-reknitting-your-character?ref=discovery |

Here is another cool looking exploration game where you play as a bunch of different animals to explore nature and figure out what happened to a lost civilization. Looks good to me. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1391673869/lost-ember?ref=category_newest |
