best games of the 99 - 01 era?

Yeah the last ever released game on the 64 and quite significantly later than the penultimate (released 2002 I believe). Crazy!
Was that penultimate game the Powerpuff Girls game?

I never realized how many of the games I love are from the later era. I guess I think of Super Smash Bros as an early game because of its graphics, but there's that one and also...

Mario Party 2 (I still think this is best of the three)
Mario Tennis
Pokemon Stadium (I still like it better than the sequel)

And that Rugrats game I won't shut up about :)

I just realized that 99 was the year I started to read Nintendo Power and transition from "kid with a console" to "gamer". That's probably why the games from this era in particular are such a big deal to me, bigger than the early games in the n64's lifespan. All the Pokémon games were from this era and that's still one of my favorite franchises, along with smash bros, Mario Party, and the Mario sports games.
