The new leaderboard is making my collecting bug depressed.

"Bamboozled - 1" :-8
Don't worry mate you've got Superman it's got to be one of the most frustrating. Think I will go for this one next. One stage after that and I'll probably be further than I ever have been on the game. :P

Pimpin Mainer (6 stages beaten)

Tamagotchi 64 (NTSC-J)
Hamster Monogatari 64 (NTSC-J)
Mario Party 2 (NTSC-J)
NEW - Goldeneye - I desided to have some fun with this one. played 007 mode with the enemy health maxed out. This was a bad idea. It took 6 pp7 clips to kill the first gaurd. I ran out of ammo by the time I got to the locked gate, so i could not shoot the lock. I had to go back and slap the crap outa someone for 10 minutes (not making that up) before they dropped their ammo.
NEW - Clay Fighter 63 1/3 - always loved this game, funny and well built. I played as blob and destroied the clown. Not even Feebie could save him from me. "I'm all pumped up!"
NEW - Diddy Kong Racing - This is the racer I grew up with and after playing WAY TOO MUCH Mario Kart I can say the drivving is different. Driffting is all I do in MK64 and in DKR trying to drift like I did in Mk was a sloppy mess. But I still won.

Good laugh on 007 mode. Did you ever see undercoverfilmer00v's videos on YouTube? He deleted his channel I think, such a shame, but he basically completed levels such as Facility on 007 mode using max stats and no cheats or action replay or anything. Brilliant well worked stunts. I got about 50% through Facility once but man it is hard and VERY time consuming. One error (or one missed slap) and it's back to the start.

@Milage007, No I never saw those videos but that sounds like a crazy challenge.

Pimpin Mainer (7 stages beaten)

Clay Fighter 63 1/3
(NTSC-U)
Diddy Kong Racing (NTSC-U)
Goldeneye (NTSC-U)
Hamster Monogatari 64 (NTSC-J)
Mario Party 2 (NTSC-J)

NEW Supercross 2000 - Well on first glance this game looked good but once I started racing... The controls were crap, I felt like a pinball because I would bounce from wall to wall unable to stay centered. Even worse when you tried to turn you would either need to slow down to a crawl or smash into the wall at full speed and hope you bounce in the right direction (that was my way of racing).

I just did Carmegeddon 64...pretty painful.

A mate and I came up with a similar challenge for Goldeneye.
We posted it up here a few years ago.
Pretty fun. It was like slow animation, enemy rockets, 1000 health enemies.
They were a low but if you let them get one shot off you are stuffed.

Also, I have taken pics but couldn't manage to upload them on photobucket last night. Maybe I try again sometime.

Will edit my new games in soon.

New:
Fighters Destiny - I got this game a few years ago and only played it a little bit.
Beat the first fighter in a few goes and decided to keep going.
Was pretty fun!
I love how you unlock extra moves from the master.
Doesn't play like a typical fighting game. I can see why it got decent reviews back in the day.

Mickeys Speedway USA - Beat Indianapolis on Intermediate. Finished 1st.
Probably Rare's worst N64 game...yet still pretty good.
It's the spiritual sequel to Diddy Kong Racing but just doesn't quite cut it.
Doesn't have the adventure element and only has the 1 vehicle.

WCW/NWO Revenge - I love the intro to this game.
Played as Sting against Giant in first match of US Title.
Won pretty easily.

Extreme G 2 - Beat Submarine Pen on Medium.
I have played the other 2 Extreme G's and they were OK, haven't really played this one.
Decent but no F-Zero X.

Top Gear Overdrive - Raced "Frigid Peaks". Got 7th, seems to be enough to let you advance.
Dont remember much about this game other than, if I'm not mistaken, there was a Taco car?

Airboarders 64 - ah yes, "fond" memories of playing this for the beat em all.
It wasn't actually that bad once you get how to play.
I couldn't for the life of me remember how to be any good though.
Could only manage a C Ranking, (which seems enough to advance you)and a score or roughly 5000.
My previous high score was over 30 000.

That's enough for one night!

Yes there is a taco car in TGO. I think you had to take first in all the last races to get it though.

@ Milage: What did you consider the first stage in DK64?
Also thinking what is considered the first stage in the 2 Zelda games?

As a side question, what does everyone think is the easiest and hardest 1st levels put there?

I'm thinking.Blast Corps is easiest (I can do it in about 16 seconds)
Turok 2 or Body Harvest would be the hardest...or longest at least.

Might get stuck into some of the bigger ones tonight... :link: :toad:

New:
Turok 2 (!) - This took some doing! I always loved the game as a kid, finally finished it abo the5 years ago.
If you can handle the fog and the frame rate and the difficulty...it's quite a good game.
It has aged, no doubt about it, but the death animations and able to blow off heads, limbs etc is good fun.
Got all the way to the end but had to back track to find one of the children...bit annoying, but thankfully not too far back.
Oh! I didn't die!
Seems a shame to not be able to save after that effort.
I have 8 lives now!

Iggy's Reckin Balls - Did the first...um cup/world "easy street".
Fell from 1st to 3rd in the final race on 1wt go so had to go again and win it.

Command & Conquer- always been a huge fan if these games especially Red Alert 2.
Yet another game I never finished all the way.
Probably got 80% of the way through as well.
Anyway beat the first level pretty easily.

Micro Machines - Another Beat-em-all game. Won the first cup.

HSV Adventure Racing (are we considering Beetle Adventure Racing a different game btw?)
Won on Coventry Cove and got all 100 points from bonus crates.
Pretty happy with my skills and memory of where everything is 😊

I will try and make a folder for my uploaded pics on photobucket.
Probably too hard to post individual pics (dam phone) but see what happens 😃

Now to do the next 2 races in HSV Adventure Racing cause it's too fun to stop
The Aussie commentator is amazing.
You are missing out if you haven't heard him 😂

FIRST POST UPDATED !!!

1. DJ Cat is killing it !!!

2. Get an :n64: on the tally board for every 10 games you beat

3. Your humble bean counter politely requests use of "@[name]:" instead of quotes and re-quotes and triple quotes. It will help me out (and make the pages look much better).

4. Keep up the great work! I am looking forward to diving in myself, but will be camping this weekend, so not just yet. But it's coming . . . .

New:
Mystical Ninja starring Geomon - Beat the first...Temple? Oedo Castle.
Took a bit longer than I expected.
Yet another game I should get around to finishing.
I think I read it's not a huge game, maybe that's a bit of motivation.

007: The World is Not Enough - Beat the first level, courier on Secret Agent
Took a few goes actually.
Just try to work out what to do and failing objectives.

Roadsters - Finished the first cup.
Came 3rd in first race and won every other one.
I like this game. Looks good, handles well, nicely presented.
Only problem was once I upgraded after the first race it was a bit easy.
The track designs are nice too.

Perfect Dark - Yes!
This was so enjoyable. Beat dataDyne Defection on Perfect Agent.
I've been playing the Xbox version lately so I thought this would be interesting.
For me the N64 version remains as the superior edition of the game.
All the skills are still there and it feels like I have perfect control.
Head shots from the other side of the room with the silenced Falcon 2 while on the move? You betcha!
Nearly got through the level without getting hit too!
15 Days + of game time should leave one with reasonable skills 😎

Clayfighter - Won a few fights, saw the credits.
Used the hilariously racist Kung Pow.
I like how you can be knocked into different arenas during fights, like the old Mortal Kombat games but on a bigger scale.

It's pretty easy when it's so enjoyable playing through all these games 😊

I'm sure people will catch me.
I will run out of games eventually 😱

I also have about 30 or more games that are currently being borrowed by a friend.

@alxby: Starting with 3 of the best games out there :yeah:

EDIT: Again, sorry for asking so many questions but how important is it for for it to be the first level?
Say for a game where you have beaten the first level, and the levels are quite large, should you go ahead and beat the 2nd level instead?
...I'm looking at you Starshot and Earthworm Jim...

EDIT # 1 billion...
Added heaps more pics.
Such a pain to upload them though, one at a time. 😖
Even tho I don't have to haha, just got into a habit.
Hope my posts aren't too messy and annoying.
Anyway, enjoy this pile of carts I am making 😂

There is no spoon.
Just jumped into the middle of this today. So far,

Cruis'n USA (Just got this recently and this is my first play)
First round had to get use to the controls, second round first place in the first stage.

Puyo Puyo sun 64
Beat the first character. Good puzzler.

Rukuga Kids
First stage matched me with the robot! I defeated him. Big accomplishment for me. The robot usually stomps me into the ground.

Bangai-o
Finished first stage with 343,660 points.

Gundam: Super Robot Spirits
Beat the first character. Such a good fighting game, I don't care what the reviewers say.

Goemon - Mononoke Sugoroku (released only in Japan)
THIS IS NOT AN ENGLISH FRIENDLY GAME! If you have ever played the battle card games that have dice to roll then you will begin to understand the gameplay here. I played this game today and beat the first level! Defeated my two computer controlled opponents. I so wish they had translated this and released it here in the states. I got so into this game that I forgot I was playing an n64 game. It is that good.

Ridge Racer 64
First place in first stage! For some reason this brought back memories today of when I first played it. It was my favorite racer on the 64 back then and still is today.

I will pull out more games and dive into another round!

Sorry for the delay.

I made time to tackle a few to keep the score going.

Mickey's Speedway USA
NTSC (Traffic Troubles- Professional: Dewey)
Probably the most difficult "kart" N64 game, but very enjoyable.

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine Canyonlands

Fire Electric Pen NTSC-J (stage 1- Silver crown: 29.8 seconds)
I've become a smooth criminal at this game, and it only took me a decade! Once i shake my rust off and beat the last stage, it's going straight to the BEA comp.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (Warehouse; Woodland Hills- Bob Burnquist)

TETRIS 64 NTSC-J

TOY STORY 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! (Andy's House)

Lode Runner 3D NTSC-J

007: The World is not Enough (Courier: agent)

Wave Race 64: Shindou version NTSC-J (Sunny Beach- M.Jeter: default)

Super Mario 64 NTSC (Bob-Omb Battlefield)

10 for me so far.

New:
Donkey Kong 64 - Did Jungle Japes, got 4 Bananas for Diddy, 3 for Donkey and beat Army-Dillo.
I've already beat this game 3-4 times, and I'm pretty tempted to play through again after beating a stage on every other game first.
I sort of see this process almost like an audition of all my N64 games and the ones I most want to play through again are rewarded 😂

Quake - Beat the first level, didn't catch it's name.
I love 90s shooters.

Top Gear Rally - Hmm, didn't enjoy this at first.
Had to restart the first race cause I got stuck on a wall on the first lap 😖
It probably doesn't help that I have no idea what handling, tyres or suspension I should be picking for each race.
However, I seemed to get a grip of the controls/fluked the right settings for the Jungle level and found it really enjoyable with the rain and the headlights and the sliding.

Road Rash 64 - This is more my style!
Frantic, silly fun.
Finished 1st on milk run...just.

Super Mario 64 - Got the first star...grabbed 99 coins while I was at it.

International Superstar Soccer 64 - Beat the first scenario on Level 5.
Took several goes to do it, I thought I would do it easy.
Won 3-1.

Shadowman 64 - Got my first Dark Soul and reached the Prophecy Chamber.
Seems to have been what you would call the first level.
Need to really get stuck into this game one day.
Looks really good with all its backstory and the notes that you get.

Xena: Warrior Princess - Was pretty fun actually.
Used Callisto. Won a few fights, got to what I thought was the boss but couldn't win.
Still, pretty fun.
