So, I recently picked up the original Star Fox for the SNES, and I've noticed a few differences between the original and the N64 version. Which one do you think is better? It's a tie for me, I like the original because of the straightforward boss battles, but I love the voice acting in Star Fox 64. |

Star Fox 64 easily. I have played Star Fox recently and still think the game holds up well today (outside of graphics), but I prefer SF64 in almost every category. The graphics are better (obviously), aiming was easier for me, alternate paths via meeting goals interested me more than alternate paths via difficulty select, the landmaster was a fun addition and the story was more exciting thanks to better story telling and actual voice work. For me, the only thing the SNES game has over SF64 is the music. While 64's tunes are excellent, I'm just a sucker for SNES's Corneria and Controls themes.

Can I go for option 3 - Lylat Wars? Nah seriously - Lylat Wars / Star Fox 64 for me. I just remember playing this for the first time thinking wow this is incredible. Such a leap forward from its predecessor. |
