With E3 upon us, what are your guys hopes, dreams, predictions for the future of Nintendo? I know there has been talk of what you want from the NX but what games would you like to see? Any remakes, reboots, sequels? Personally I'm stoked for the release of Zelda. I'd also like to see a Zelda version of Mario Maker. Maybe have some decent racing games - a Staw Wars pod racer game would be sweet

To be honest nothing that Nintendo is currently doing is impressing me. They seem to have lost the magic touch. I'd prob like to see them lose some of the things they've done in the last couple of console cycles and move towards a more traditional gaming console. All the games that get released for ps and x1 but also holding onto there library of first party Nintendo games. I think they'd go back to killing it again if more game developers supported them. There not going to be successful in the future with there revamps of Mario and Zelda unfortunately. It's starting to get old for me. Probably more interested in what games are coming to Playstation and Xbox at the end of this year. Some beauties on there way that's for sure. |

I watched the UbiSoft presentation and cringed. Granted, I'm a Nintendo homer, and a steadfast VR detractor. I thought the VR games were really basic and the people wearing the headsets just looked ridiculous. For Honor looked decent, but was not impressed by Steep, Watchdogs 2 or the South Park game. It is disappointing that Nintendo is not bringing more to the table at E3 than LoZ and Pokemon, but that is the hand it is dealing. LoZ looks really vast . . . I started a thread for it now that it has a name. |

My thoughts exactly... Can't go wrong with Zelda and Pokemon, but that is about the only thing they have my attention on. Otherwise, I was impressed with Sony's showing though

I completely agree on the whole VR thing. I think GOOD VR at the consumer level is still a ways off. Those headsets are completely ridiculous. Just a little too creepy since you really have no idea what's going on in there from the outside. "What are you watching in that headset, Kart?" "Oh, just playing Minecraft." "Suuuure...." |

@Kartmaster: I catch your drift (and it is hilarious). Although after yesterday's presentation, you'd be fibbing because telling Mrs. Kart you are an eagle trying to get the mouse, or playing Star Trek would be way too embarrassing. Ah well, I'm glad someone else sees the VR thing similarly. |

So whats everyones thoughts on the 2 new xbox consoles coming? Both are pointless for me because its £300 for the S console but then I have to fork out for a 4K tv and the same for project Scorpio. They did say that all games will work across all 3 consoles so no one gets left behind which is good and I think I'm happy playing games at the "worst level graphics" to be honest. I really like the buy once play on PC and xbox and really has me thinking about upgrading my PC but to be honest I'm just lost with all the options of GPU and have no idea what would be good or not. RE7 looks good but i'm not too sure about first person RESI, time will tell. |

I think it's just normal and was surprised it didn't come right off the bat with tis capability. it's evolution/mid-life update. pointless, probably but at least they're keeping up the pace. |

I think the Xbox slim is good for people who don't have an Xbox1 already. I am happy that all the games will work on each other. |

Well, the slim is just a smaller Xbox One console just as we've seen the major companies do a lot in the last few generations. The Scorpio (and the PS4 Neo), on the other hand, is the upgraded/beefed up/4K intensive version of the Xbox One (or PS4, obviously) and that's where the water gets murky, at least for me. As a PS4 owner I sure as heck hope Sony doesn't release a bunch of games that are only compatible with the Neo. I hope the same for Xbox One owners and Microsoft. If they don't pull a "new 3DS XL" tactic then I'll live with this upgraded console concept. None of the companies should ever divide their audience mid console generation. |

Guys, to celebrate E3 (i think), Nintendo eShop announced a deep discount sale on some really great titles, Splatoon being one of the notables. There is an additional 10% off if you link up your My Nintendo account. I grabbed Shantae: Risky's Revenge for a measly $5.

So E3 is a wrap. Lots of media reports say that LoZ: Breath of the Wind generated the most buzz out of any game, and some outlets are saying Nintendo won E3 notwithstanding the lack quantity of games shown or upcoming. I really don't know about all of that, but seems to be a microcosm of the state of affairs with Nintendo these days. Great first party games, very little third party support and no major third party support. Frankly, I'm fine with that. There are titles that I would no doubt play and probably enjoy if they came to the Wii U, but they are not. And I doubt they are coming to the NX either. But Nintendo will offer up its first party lineup, get some minor third party support and some indie support, and the total will be more games than I have time to play and/or afford. For those who want it all, the next half-generation or generation will likely be like this one . . .you'll likely have to grab an Xbox or a PS4.5 (or whatever its called) to park next to your NX. This is in no way meant to suggest that PS4 games or Xbox titles are lesser or not worth playing. There are far more avid gamers here than me. It just seems that Nintendo's focus will continue to be on innovation and game experience over a system than is only better because it runs the same games better. They have always marched to their own drummer. Back when the NES dominated, and with the Wii's unexpected success, third parties flocked to Big N; I do not think is something Big N ever fostered or planned its success around. I do not intend to make this sound fatalistic; it's just the way I see the landscape of the gaming world right now. The NX will surely feature irresistible installments to terrific Big N franchises, and Big N will develop a unique way to play those games, but there will not be much in terms of third party support. |

Tempted to get the Xbox One S simply because I want an Ultra HD Blu-Ray player and playing new games in 4K would be nice. But I'd also have to buy a 4K television so the upgrade is going to cost me a lot more than just the price of the console itself. I actually still don't have an Xbox One yet and I've been waiting for a huge price drop before upgrading from my 360, so I'm stuck in a dilemma right now. Should I wait for the new Xbox One or just buy the first model when the price drops soon (bound to happen with the announcement of the Slim)? :/ Then again, maybe when the NX comes out next year, the Wii U will be dirt cheap and I'll just get that instead haha. Word is that the NX may be a portable console....like an untehered gamepad that also hooks up to a TV with use of standard controllers. |

Sea of Thieves. Only thing I have watched anything on and I likey! I already have the console required so boom! Basically everything I have enjoyed on the Xbox One has been Rare related other than the 2 Wolfenstein games. Zelda, I don't need to watch anything or read anything. I know I'm getting it, whatever it takes. |
