Hi Guys, I'm currently installing (yes yes yes finally!) all my console in my basement (nes, snes, n64, gamecube, ps2, wii, 360). Everything will be hooked up to my Home Theater receiver then to my CRT TV since it's all retro except ps2+360 (but it's only for kids). NES: RCA (yellow+red) SNES: RCA (yellow+white+red) N64: RCA (yellow+white+red) Gamecube: (yellow+white+red) WII: (yellow+white+red) PS2: (Green+blue+red and Optical) 360: (Green+blue+red and Optical) My problem is I don't have enough input so im looking into a 4 port switch, something reliable but not crazy expensive. I found this but it seems kind of expensive to me. https://www.amazon.ca/Monoprice-103027-4-Port-Component-Learning/dp/B001TK9SEE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1471915599&sr=8-1&keywords=4+port+switch+component there's also this 8 port switch that seems a tad better for only 10$ more https://www.amazon.ca/MT-VIKI-Splitter-Selector-Switch-MT-831AV/dp/B00DRGDBTG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1471916727&sr=8-1&keywords=MT-VIKI Do you guys have anything to suggest me cheaper/reliable ? Thanks ! EDIT: a cable nightmare...

Well, the 8 port one is composite, so it won't work with your current PS2 / 360 setup. The 4 port one is component, but won't convert composite to component. Good luck. I'm really in the same boat and I've just decided that I'm going to have to build my own switcher someday with some mechanical bus switches and make it all steam punk and such. It's a real retro gamer's dilemma. Edited by kartmaster, Aug 22 2016, 09:18 PM.

This could be of interest once it's available: http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/gcompsw-4-1-automatic-composite-component-switch.61829/ |

ps2/360 I can plug them directly into my amplifier since I have 2 component port which rule out any converting process. |

I found a cheap 3 port switch for 5$ at a Dollar Store lookalike today. im gonna try this see how it goes. if it work good, i'll buy a second one, otherwise i'll just return it. setup is almost complete, just need to wire my speakers and im ready to fire everything up. my son is anxious to play his game lol |

@Cabanon: I bought a cheapo one on eBay or amazon years ago and it works fine. Good luck with your dollar store purchase . . . it just might work! |
