Any idea what this box is?

So over the weekend I went to SoCal Retro Video Game Expo and one of the things I got was this Nintendo storage box (pics below) for $20. The guy selling it didn't know much about it and I can't seem to find any definite info on it while looking around. It seems to fit N64 games and NES games in it just fine but SNES don't fit. Any ideas?

I googled it and came up with some closed auction listings that indicate it was an NES game storage cabinet. Seems like you got a decent price b/c shipping is expensive. Regardless, a very handsome addition there, Sir Knightly!

Thanks bluedog, I like it since it is kind of unique and stands out a bit in my collection. I am finding weird variances when I search for this online. I have seen a few close auctions where it goes for $15-20 but then I see other things that look like it going for $100+... Wish I could figure out what the distinction is XD

If you search Teak-Tech, which is also the kind of wood used(Teak), you'll see different styles being sold on sites like Etsy.

I'm not sure how "official" your box is, but it is nice!

That's a sweet box.

Reminds me of the plastic, black storage boxes out there that are "vintage". I picked one of those up last year and it was in surprisingly good shape.

It looks super neat, like something that would fit perfectly if you'd put it in a mancave :p
I've never seen it before either... It says it's made in Thailand though, I don't know if any products by Nintendo have ever been produced there..
