Nintendo was having a VC sale on LoZ: OoA and OoS. The cheapest recent physical game I've picked up was Top Gear: Overdrive for $5. I also was given Turok Wars, Forsaken 64, and Hexen for fixing an N64 console-it just needed a cleaning. |

Well, going from Feb. 1st - tonight as my self-defined meaning of "recently", I've got four to share. Gradius Collection & Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast (PSP) - Got these two on the same day for $2.50 each. I already had history with both the Gradius and Outrun series, so getting these two was truly a treat. Also, I had no clue that ALL of the Gradius games were as tough as Gradius III (which I already owned on the SNES prior to the purchase). Classics on the go are always awesome especially when they're on the cheap. ExciteBots: Trick Racing (Wii) - I could not have bought this at a better time. I found this at my local Wal-Mart for $5 after buying Top Gear: Dare Devil AKA the worst game I own for the PS2. While Top Gear DD sucked the fun out of driving games for me, ExciteBots immediately put it back in with it's crazy jumps, shifting terrains and fun robotic animals to race as like a frog or a bat. On top of that, there are other modes that are just plain weird (like Poker Racing) but still end up being a blast. I only wish I had bought this one sooner so I could take advantage of the online modes. Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (PSP) - Not much to say here since I didn't get much of a chance to play that far due to life taking an unexpected turn for the worst but what I did play was a lot like Peace Walker which is always a plus for me. Solid stuff if I do say so myself. Yesterday, I bought SSX Tricky and Destroy All Humans! for $3 each but have yet to try them out. I have heard great things about both games, however, so maybe they'll make thr list in a few days.

Destroy All Humans is now availible on the ps4. I believe it costs 20 dollars though. If you can stick with ps2 version because it is still $5. The Destroy All Humans games and Ssx games were huge during my childhood and they are still fun today. Since you just got a ps4 make sure to keep a eye on the weekly sales. Good game can often fall close to 5 dollars. Battlefield 4 is $5 right now and if you have playtation plus I'm sure there would still be plenty of people playing online. Also Unravel is 5 dollars and it's an artsy puzzle platform game. I don't have a playstation but keep checking the store and I'm sure you'll find lots of cheap stuff. Great topic! Nothing beats getting a good game at a great price. Sadly, I haven't purchased any video games in a while because I'm too busy working through my backlog. I'm always looking for deals, though.

Within the last two months I was able to buy a copy of Halo 3 for 5 bucks at the Walmart I work at. It is really difficult to find games at my store for less than $15 normally so I consider it to be a score. |
