Endure and survive...
Rush 2 is finally a winner. glad to see it win after nominating it for the at year at least

I have fond memories on Rush 2. I probably had more fun on it than I did any other game on N64 that I never actually owned. In the past few years I have played it some more through emulation. One day I will hopefully locate and pick up a copy :yeah:

I spent a little time actually racing, and it was decently fun. I spent the majority of my time on the stunt course flipping every which way imaginable. I still remember some of the music from the game. Amiga'ish (sp?) was the one that sticks with me the most.

I hope to get a little time this month to give it a whirl!

Never played it but I'm glad to see it won as well. As I've said ad nauseum I suck at racing games but I'll give it a try this month and see if I can find something to like. I hear that this stunt track thing is pretty amusing.

If the thought of flying full bore across a wide open space in a sports car while slamming in to an angled ramp and watching the car do about 15 barrel rolls before exploding as you hit a wall sounds fun, then you will enjoy it

That was a mouthful...

Congrats man. This is well overdue I'll give it that. This title is still on my buy list. Looking forward to picking it up and giving it a go. I like the others in the franchise so sure it will live up to expectations.

I just played 11 races in the Rush 2 circuit mode out of the 28 tracks in the game, which now makes this my longest played n64 racing game that isn't a Kart Racer or F-Zero. I really wish I could get more into this consoles Racers because I hear that many of them are quite good and 2049 is the most popular Rush game it seems. I'm probably a bad judge of things like is but I just kinda think it's okay.

I can't find a button to look behind me which bugs me but that's really my only big complaint. Spinning out basically never happens which is good for someone who sucks at more realistic racers as I do. It took me a while to get used to the physics and handling but now I'm in constant competition for 1st, 2nd, or third place so it isn't too difficult, though I did place last in one race so point-wise I have catch up to do.

I'm probably gonna finish the circuit mode and maybe try the stunt course but I probably won't try to unlock everything. Though I have seen this game has lots of weird cheats and unlcokables, also boatloads of advertisements.

I finished Rush 2 now. It was as close as statistically possible.

Out of 28 races I got

1st in 11 races
2nd in 9 races
3rd in 4 races
4th in 2 races
5th in 1 race
8th in 1 race

Most of those 1st and 2nd place races took multiple tries but thankfully you can restart races as many times as you like.

Never played this one. I remember playing the first one but that was a loooooong time ago and I'm pretty sure that was the arcade version.

Anyway, congrats to those who voted for Rush 2.
