Do people here use Discord? It's a gamer chat app that's becoming pretty popular. I use it for Smash Bros and Pokemon mainly but it can be for just about anything. I could get a server started for us...it's super easy :)

There's voice options but in my experience it's largely used as text chat.

Dang I'm getting old. Used to be up on all this stuff.
It's basically a much more improved streamlined version of Skype. You can use discord in your browser instead of downloading an application. It's mainly text based irc chat where you also have the option of talking in voice.
