I voted Killer Instinct Gold because it's one of the games I still play regularly on actual N64 hardware. If I ever pick up an Xbox One, however, Rare Replay will probably my first purchase so I can finally play KIG with a proper arcade stick. :D

KI Gold is one of the few N64 games that actually plays better with the D-pad. For that reason alone it deserves to be the July game of the month. ;)

Well I've only played one of these and it's a great game to play, so I had no issues giving the vote to Killer Instinct Gold. Now it has a FIGHTING chance! HA HA HA HA H- I'll get my coat...

I totally agree with the comments on KI and the d-pad and it does work well along with with using it on wrestling games like Wrestlemania 2000 & No Mercy.

My vote goes to Top Gear Hyperbike though. Smooth graphics, some great tracks and the handling is good particularly cornering it feels realistic like how you would expect a bike to respond if riding it.

Maybe my Killer Instinct Gold video retrospective will motivate people to vote for it. ^_^

I really need to get an HD camera.

Whatever the July game of the month ends up being, I hope people actually take the time to discuss it when it wins.

BTW, the quick reference card that comes with KIG is a nice touch. I'm surprised that I didn't keep it in front of me back when I originally purchased the game at launch. Guess I didn't because I'm the kind of guy who hates to read instructions.

It seems you have a slight obsession there for KI Gold Grizz. I think we get that you like it. A couple more posts in this thread about why you think it should be game of the month and you'll prob have the whole site brainwashed with KI Gold propaganda.

Btw, I voted for it. Only because it's the only one I've played X_D Thought it was average at best, but then again fighting games tend to bore me and are not really my thing :D

Conan the Barbarian taught me that true power comes from the ability to control people's minds.

To my mind Killer Instinct Gold would make a great game of the month because it's a title not easily emulated on Project 64, Wii64 or even Retropie. It's probably easiest, if you don't own an Xbox One, just to play it on the actual N64 hardware which makes the physical KIG N64 cartridge a nice collectible and a game worth owning long after the month of July.
