Some decent titles in there! I like South Park. The game does feel rushed / unpolished but I have so much nostalgia for this game. It was the first game I ever got my parents to rent from Blockbusters back in the day! I remember renting it for an second time so it obviously had a positive impact on me. I have to vote for my nomination on this occasion and get behind Tigger's Honey Hunt!

Withholding my vote for now. I always found South Park entertaining. Crude, unpolished, and simple as it was, I always had fun playing it ![]() I love Extreme G for the music and look. And No Mercy I am sure was a good as any of the THQ wrestling games. Tough call |

South Park is a garbage FPS and I support any of the others over it. No Mercy in particular |

Racing for Fulcon Capital

I'm shocked Extreme G is winning. I love racers and futurist racers, but not that one. But hey, I'm the sap who cast the lone vote for Aerofighters Assault. And yeah, I'll give Extreme G another go if it prevails. |

I went with WWF No Mercy for obvious reasons but I wouldn't mind playing Extreme-G either. I played the heck out of it when it originally released but haven't played it much since so I'm well overdue. |

There were races on Extreme G that could seemingly be won by simply holding the gas it felt like The music made the game for me. I listen to some of the tracks to this day!

The thing with South Park is, it was made during the show's first season, which was a totally different show back then. Anyone who started playing South Park for the first time in the past 15 years would say it has nothing to do with South Park's politically loaded/news related episodes of today. However, back then (Season 1 and even 2), South Park was all about foul-mouthed kids, fart jokes, Kenny getting killed every episode (whatever happened to that?) and just plain weirdness. The game captured that spirit perfectly. I still see the first seasons as some of their best (largely due to nostalgia) and even love playing it nowadays. Also, I remember that the game was hugely based on Turok's engine (even though that isn't mentioned anywhere apparently), which of course came with it's strange control scheme as well. Kind of feels like a reversed version of nowadays shooter controls (C-buttons for forward/straving, analog for turning/looking around). I'm glad that it's possible to change to a more Goldeneye-esque control scheme. Speaking of that, I also played the PSX version of this, which strangely enough is a very cut-down version. I remember levels where parts were completely missing, and everything was largely compressed. The only reason that I kept on playing was that I could put it on my PSP and play it on the go. |

Mmm... In retrospect, it perhaps is a good scheme since it's better for aiming. At the time, Goldeneye pretty much set a standard for shooters on a console and other controls fell therefore out of place, for me at least... |

Totally agree. Goldeneye style controls for shooters on the N64 is the only way for me. It is much more difficult to grasp others like Turok Dinosaur Hunter for example and probably why in Turok 2 onwards you could choose between the two. South Park is a decent game I'm very tempted to start a campaign but there are few others ahead in the queue at the moment. |

I just did a blindfold test, picked Extreme G, and see where it fell. This was my first time opening this thread, and i didn't read it first. They are all good choices, but Extreme G stands out. Very fast. Very challenging. Edited by No64DD, Aug 28 2017, 10:25 AM.

Turok style controls were not natural for me either. I preferred the Goldeneye style. At the time though I never really thought about the tactical advantage of being able to aim and move at the same time. |
