We all know that special feeling when you get that one item you so dearly wanted for Christmas. We all have seen the famous Youtube video off the "NINTENDOO SIXTYY FOOOOUUURR". Let's share this feeling once more. I present you the N64Forever Secret Santa. What is secret santa? Secret Santa is the exchange of gifts, bought by an unknown Santa. There are many variations, but for this one, we'll keep it more-or-less traditional on the online "rules". You'll get a name of a fellow forum member and his or her wishlist and go shopping. You shall not tell anyone who you're shopping for. By the time holiday season is on its way, you'll ship out the items and wait for yours to arrive. Who did the giftshopping for you? No idea. By the time it comes in, you may share the items here and take a guess who was your Secret Santa. Cool, how do I join? To avoid frauds as much as possible I'm setting a joining requirement of 6 months membership and 200 posts (same postcount as the Gallery). If you have this, feel free to send me a message your joining. Make the title as clean as possible, so I do not miss it. Also include your wishlist with this. What should be on the wishlist? It's all up to you. We're going to work with a €20 budget excluding shipping (other currencies, see the next spoiler), so keep in mind items should be within this pricerange. You can add a vague description of general topics (i.e. "I like Zelda games and collect for Gameboy Color") or add specific items. Specific items works great, as this is a worldwide event. This gives you an opportunity to ask for that Japan exclusive game (or PAL or NA exclusive for that matter). Also keep in mind to specify if a loose game is okay or if it should be CIB etc. All gaming related stuff is okay, so games, merch, toys related to games and so on. No socks and ugly sweaters this Secret Santa! A mix of both (specific items and general topics) works best. I prefer a set of specific "wanted" items as well as some general topics ("Zelda", "N64 boxed games", "Sonic toys" etc.), but it's up to you. Links to websites with a wishlist is fine as well, as long as everyone can see it without having to make an account. In this week I'll post a complete master list of who is in the Secret Santa. I'll use a random generator to assign each one of you a partner to buy for. I'll contact each one of you with the name, shiping adress and wishlist of the person you'll be buying for. Since shipping might take a while all of you have to ship out the gifts by November 20th. This means quick shopping, but gives the postage services enough time to deliver all gifts before Christmas. How do I ship the items? First of all, make sure everything is properly wrapped! For festive reasons, wrap all gifts in some wrapping paper as well and make it look pretty. All packages MUST be shipped with tracking code. After you have shipped the items you contact me (Kamikaze) with the tracking code, so I can add it to my offline master list. Any delays in shipping must be mentioned to me as soon as possible, so I can tell your partner Santa has some delays (obviously without telling your name). When you receive your gifts post a picture here and take a guess who was your Secret Santa. It's not going to be easy, but it's sure going to be fun. After everyone has received their gifts, I'd love to get some feedback and maybe host this again in 2018 Things to keep in mind - This Secret Santa is worldwide, so shipping might get expensive. Be prepared and consider shopping smart (games are cheaper to ship than figurines i.e.); - Joining is at your own risk. I'll try to keep out the frauds, but there's no way to tell if we're all doing what we say we're doing - Giving items from your shelve or "tradebait" pile is fine, but please consider a fair value, as you probably didn't pay retail for the item(s) - Questions?
