Goldeneye Red PC Variant

On the 28th August 1998, a second wave of N64 Players Choice titles was announced for the USA. These were the following four games:
- Diddy Kong Racing
- GoldenEye 007
- Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside
- WCW vs NWO: World Tour

What seemingly happened was that PC stickers were sent out to be placed over existing stock that Nintendo currently had in their warehouses, while all future print runs would incorporate the PC logo into newly designed boxes. In this case the stickers were put on top of the cellophane, which was typically thrown out by the buyers, and that is why they are so hard to find these days. For NBA Courtside, it would appear that no more print runs were made, so these sealed copies are the only PC variants that exist. It is likely DKR and WCW: World Tour have similar over the seal PC variants, but these will also be hard to find as they will have to be A) a copy from late Q3 / early Q4 1998 and B) still sealed, or partly sealed by the original owner.

Here's that YouTube video for anyone interested the topic:

Good luck on your search, and be sure to post pictures here when you find a copy :yeah:

Nice find jonebone!

Although interestingly, this copy doesn't seem to also include the game of the year sticker. Does that make two variants?
