Endure and survive...
Quake narrowly sneaked by Tigger's Honey Hunt to be our Game of the Month winner.

I never owned it, but played it a couple times. I liked it, and found it to be more fun that Turok's mulitplayer. I just always turned back to Goldeneye or Perfect Dark in the end though.

*Also*
Next month is a top 20 open month for Game of the Month! Be thinking of what you want to nominate. AND another teaser......BIG changes coming to GotM starting in February! Stay tuned.

Haven't played Quake on any console, but I'm guess is the inclusion of Japanese and European games to the vote, maybe too optimistic but it could be fun.

Digital Foundry did a Retro video comparing the versions of Quake II, as well as talking about the game in general. I have to admit, Iím partial to the PSX port but the N64 port isnít bad.

.
I enjoyed it a fair bit, some cool levels and boss fights.
However, even though people said it was a poor port, I preferred Quake 1 for its darker atmosphere.

Quake 2, decent game indeed, will probably play again one day.
It's just that there is a good 5-10 better shooters on the N64. 😎 :link: :n64:
