After watching a few YouTube videos on hardware pushers it got me thinking. What games during the 5th generation really pushed what technology could do between 1993-2001 on 5th generation games. Here is a short list that I thought of and please feel free to add more games or categorie. 2d graphics: Rayman - Atari Jaguar Astal- Sega Saturn 3d graphics: Shenmue - Sega Saturn Gran turismo 2 - ps1 Conkers bad fur day - n64 Overall processing a lot of objects on screen: Starcraft 64 - Nintendo 64 Use of fmv in game: Killing time - 3do Final fantasy 8 - ps1 Online multiplayer: Battle sphere (28 player 3d polygon space shooter) - Atari jaguar Saturn bomberman - Sega saturn |
N64 forever starfox 64 champion "Im an elephant" - Conker Both the n64 and the ps4 have 64 bit processors. Now I'm not saying the 64 could run crysis at 60 fps but I'm not saying it couldn't. 115 games 2 consoles 6 controllers | |
