Ultra Street fighter 2... its like all the other street fighter 2s but with more stuff. Love the clean cartoon graphics on this one. SF2 will always be one of my favorite fighters. Also beat Prison Architect on PC. I have had this game for several years as I bought into the beta to help fund the developers. The game has had 13 updates since they released the trial beta and I hadn't played it in almost 2 years. Since my last play they added a campaign which i played and beat tonight. Prison architect is a tycoon game where you are a warden of a prison. you have to build and manage your jail. make the criminals happy, make your staff happy, and rake in the money!

Risk of Rain... Love this game, cool indy I picker up a few years back and have beaten it many times. So many items to unlock and new characters to try there is always a good reason to come back to this one. Its a crazy hectic side scroller shooter. Tons of enemies and amazing power ups to pimp you character out. Highly recommend this game. I guess RoR 2 is in the works but its going to be 3d... don't know how i feel about that since the 2d is so fun!

I'm sure if I'd sat down and played it for a long time I could have done it earlier, but I finally finished all three tracks under the time limit. Not sure I have the time to try for first, not yet.

Tekken 3 was actually a case of me forgetting to put it down, I finished it a while ago. Oops.

Diddy Kong Racing is one of my childhood favorites, I never had Mario Kart growing up so this was my racer! Loved it as a kid and when I was living with Meader in College I discovered he loved this game too. This resulted in him beating all my scores when I was at class and coming home to SJM all over my game scores. We played this a lot competitively but alas Meader came out on top... I revisited this game because it was Game of the Month for April, and in a quick 3 hours later I beat all the races and trophy races for Adventure One. Might go back and beat Adventure Two later but 3 hours were enough for today. Glad to see my skills were still there and I beat most of the levels first try. Honestly the hardest part was the dinosaur because he kept squishing me when I tried to pass him. Another N64 game down.

New-Sky Force Reloaded (successful campaign, collected all cards and all ships)

Sky Force Reloaded is basically my concept of the best Shmup ever. Most shmups give you a taste of piloting a plane that shreds the baddies....but one or a few hits and you’re back to a peashooter. Not Sky Force. You can die, and you’ll die alot, but your poweruos are never lost! This gives SFR a sense of career mode. And there’s plenty to do with your pimped out ship(s). Each of the 13 campaign mission has four goals (100% kills, Star recovery, hostage rescued, and no-damage. Plus, each mission has 4 difficulty levels...so bullet-hell fans, hang in there, bullet hell awaits at the insane and nightmare difficulties. There are some other powerups and ships with different attributes, but you get the point...this is a shmup with incredible depth. Great graphics AND NO BORDERS!!! Loved it.

OMG, Jo the Mechanic does look like Gerard Butler! Great call, and what a cool course if you got to play those two games. Not first party, not AAA, but flat-out awesome games for the genre (and on the Switch).

Completed Evil Within 2 last night and really enjoyed it, took the first and improved it in nearly every way. The RE roots are very obvious in this game especially in the story but for me that was a massive plus. Some of the cut scenes were acted out pretty badly, not so much the voice acting but the movement of the models.

Just finished Poken. Got al the way thru all the tournaments and claimed my place as number one. I didn't have any difficulties until the final league (Iron) and then I lost a couple times. Pretty good fighting game, Im a street fighter guy so playing a teken game was just alright lol. There is quite a bit of content and I found this game to be quite fun so I recommend it for fighting fans and pokemon fans.

Finished Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault last week, and Assassin's Creed Unity just this morning.
Actually quite enjoyed BOTH! :w00t: :yeah: Granted, I didn't know what to expect with Full Frontal Assault, and I had rather LOW expectations of Unity.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is kind of a weird 3rd-person shooter/tower defense hybrid game. It was really light on story, but has some really solid (and unique!) shooter/defense game-play. I've yet to play a main-line Ratchet & Clank game... definitely looking forward to when I actually do!

With Assassin's Creed Chest-Opening Simulator Unity, I knew there were going to be quite a few collectibles to endure. I mean, I've played ACII, AC:B, AC:R, and ACIII, so I though I was prepared... but hoooooooooly moly were there a lot of collectibles!! Definitely would still be too many even if there were only half as many. >_< But after devoting a few nights (weeks, rather) of veg-ing out opening chests, collecting cockades & artifacts, completing co-op/heist/rift missions, solving murder mysteries and Nostradamus enigmas, and free-ing outposts/viewpoints, all I had left (for that 100% sync) was to complete the remaining story missions to a story that I knew wasn't going to be the most riveting, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. Where this game really shines is the setting/environment/graphics... 18th century Paris was definitely alive, and basically everything on screen looked AMAZING, so dilly-dallying around doing all the periphery/filler stuff wasn't too terrible.

games/DLC finished this year:
01/16 - Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One (100%)
01/19 - God of War: Ascension (100%)
01/21 - After Burner Climax (100%)
02/22 - The Swapper (100%)
03/26 - Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (100%)
03/31 - Assassin's Creed Unity: Dead Kings DLC (100%)
04/02 - Assassin's Creed Unity (100%)
Now Playing: Clash Royale (mobile), Gravity Rush 2, Rayman Legends, Project CARS, Uncharted 4 Survival Mode ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Completed From Russian with Love on the gamecube last week, it was pretty good and followed the film quite well but didn't enjoy it as much as Everything or Nothing which uses the same game engine. Some of the face Models were really well done and overall the graphics were great for a NGC title. Not sure this is one I will ever go back to though

Whoops! Guess who's late again? Not that I've beaten many games since the year started but I want to get these listed before I forget any of them. Like every year, I'm only listing games I've beaten for the first time (unless the subsequent playthrough was more complete or on another console).

PS1
- CTR: Crash Team Racing (Adventure Mode as Crash)

PS2
- Naruto: Ultimate Ninja (Scenario Mode with all characters)
- Way of the Samurai (Ending #4)

DS
Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy

PSP
- Darkstalkers Chronicle: Chaos Tower (Arcade Mode as Morrigan)

A slow start but I fully expected that seeing as I'm preparing to move out of state. Of course, procrastinating with Pokémon Ultra Sun until I just gave up on it didn't help either.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (AKA the first LoZ game I've ever heard about according to my memory) has finally been beaten by me. When comparing this to all of the other LoZ games I've beaten or at least played a good amount of, this one ranks a little on the low side. There are certainly some games I'd put Majora's Mask over but there's more games in the series that I'd put over it (including Ocarina of Time). However, because nearly all of my experiences with the series has been very positive, Majora's Mask is still a game worth owning for anyone who loves the N64... and has a whole lot of patience. Seriously, this game needed a time skip that let you go to any hour of the day...

April 12 and I've finally finished off a game. That's sad and unacceptable for me, especially since I haven't been working this whole time. Been a pretty depressing stretch for me and gaming, my usual escape, has not been the priority I normally reserve it to be. But I think things will pick up for me now. Anyway, finished off the new Far Cry 5 and I really enjoyed it. It was a little bonkers at times regarding the storyline but hey, if you know and enjoy Ubisoft open world games then this one was quite fun.

Completed ReCore over the weekend and overall enjoyed it very much, the platforming was very good with tight controls. My only problem with the game is that it gives you the impression that collecting the cores is a optional thing but you need a lot for the end game. This meant when I was near the end I had to go back through the whole thing collecting the cores, it wasnt boring doing it but if it made it clear you needed them I could've done it during the main gameplay.

Final stage (Eden Tower) was a lot of fun. :yeah:

Just finished A Way Out this weekend... easily the best, truly/fundamentally co-op game I've ever played. :yeah: Though the voice acting was a little hokey, it was still a really unique experience, and quite impressive coming from a such small indie studio. Definitely recommended, esp. if you have someone to play it with!

games/DLC finished this year:
