Rarity of Ocarina gold cartridge with v1.1?

I understand that there were a very small number of gold cartridges made with the revision A ROM (v1.1) - perhaps only available to people who re-subscribed to Nintendo Power? Something like that. Has anyone come across one?

I'm trying to find it for my collection and was just wonder how much of a white whale it is.

EDIT: NTSC-U that is

How do you tell what version you have? By the cart itself or something inside the game play?

Stamp on the back label. Just numbers is 1.0, numbers plus an A is 1.1, numbers plus a B is 1.2.

unless you're a very completist, you dont really care about rev board.

1.0 is the one to go since in 1.1 they removed "blood" when you hit an enemy

Hmm I didn't know about this change. It's not mentioned on any site that I've come across. Thanks!

NTSC V1.0 is gold (larger quantity) and grey (smaller quantity), NTSC V1.1 is gold (smaller quantity) and grey (larger quantity), NTSC V1.2 is grey only.

Taken from here, here and here:

NTSC V1.0 = ganon red blood, islamic chant in fire temple, 2 famous glitches

NTSC V1.1 = same as NTSC V1.0 with 2 famous glitches fixed, other glitches/bugs/text fixed

NTSC V1.2 / PAL V1.0 = same as NTSC V1.1 with red blood changed to green, islamic chant removed, other bugs/text fixed

PAL V1.1 = same as NTSC V1.2 / PAL V1.0 with bugs fixed

Now for the glossier n64 logo which supposedly appears from NTSC V1.1 onward, this page says that some V1.1 still have the older logo, which seems impossible, as this would mean there's another revision between NTSC V1.0 and NTSC V1.1. Can someone answer this?

Here is proof that there was a Nintendo Power subscription mailer featuring the offer to purchase Ocarina of Time.

This jerk has one.
