I love FF, Nine is my favorite one. I played some of the older games and Legends, 7,8,9. I also own a copy of Advent Children, the origional Japanese released movie with english subtitles. (We have to watch it on my PSX, a Japanese playstation system that may or many not be released in the US)

Hah. You know what sucks? I haven't played any FF games in my life! (=
What's a good game to start on? My friend told me X is good.

If yer barely gonna get into the FF world, you need to start at the beginning.

FF 1&2 dawn of souls for the gba (or the vba, if you dont own a gameboy/are cheap and would rather play it on an emulator.)

IMO, VII would have owned every other FF game if it werent for the Materia system. But then again, that's what made FFVII stand out above the other games. VII is the last FF game I've played, and in order they'd be:

FF I&II dawn of souls(GBA)
FF III (also for gba, I believe)
FF IV (GBA[there seems to be abit of a theme going on here, hmmmmmmm....])
FF V (SNES/Super Famicom)
FF VI (DS)
FF VII (PSX[gotta love the emulators])

Shortly after Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI were re-released on the Playstation, Final Fantasy I & II was released on the Playstation as "Final Fantasy Origins." Do the math, and you will see the gap in this series. Final Fantasy III has never been released in America until the recent release of Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS. In my opinion, Final Fantasy III is one of the best RPGs of all time. It has practically all of the elements of the Final Fantasy series, and the DS version is beautifully remade in 100% 3D. I'm playing Final Fantasy III now, and I can say without exaggeration that it lives up to its reputation.

Wow, it's older than me. >_> I only played Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls. FFI was awesome though. I loved the simplicity of its storyline, game play, character... everything lol. I tried playing the Playstation version, but it was painfully slow. Dawn of Souls has extremely fast game play, new dungeons and features, and the ability to save whenever you wish (except for during battles, while talking, etc. of course).

I played FFII for a couple of hours, and then I got bored. -.-
