Since I didn't see any threads about this, I thought I'd go ahead and make one. This game certainly deserves the recognition for it. The site is: http://sco.gpotato.com/ and you can register, download the game, and participate in the forums. Basically, it's like a third-person shooter where you pilot your jet/spacecraft, called a gear and kill enemies, do missions, grind, and actively participate in kickass nation wars and pvp. There are 4 types of gears. The A-gear is basically a flying tank, attack and defense-based while lacking in flying speed. They are the masters of the ground. The B-gear is the bomber, which is basically the all-around balanced gear which absolutely kicks ass at high levels wich bombing mode dishing out tons of damage, along with many other super-useful skills. The I-gear is the fighter type, flies really fast and hits hard. It's quite frail, but it serves as the basic infantry in nation wars. It is also the easiest to grind, so reccomended for starting players. The M-gear is the support type, healing/buffing other gears, and are extremely valuable in formations in high levels. They are extremely difficult to grind due to their rather low damage output, but they get Reverse Engine, which makes them own hands-down in 1v1 combat. There are 2 nations, BCU and ANI, and they are constantly at war with each other so you get to participate in raids and map takeovers pretty much every day. When the NCP (national contribution points) reaches a certain level, the Motherships spawn, and they are full-scale wars to destroy and defend the nation's mothership. This game is sooo fun, and there isn't much grind, and once you get to around lvl 50, you'll be set to raid and pvp regularly. I highly reccomend you give it a try, since it's a refreshing alternative to the other games. |

Yeah, I haven't touched the game in a while. Everyone is really high-level in that game now (around 70's), and I can't keep up due to excess schoolwork. Unfortunately, that level gap puts me at a huge disadvantage in PVP and nation wars, since I"m only lvl 55, so I can't fully enjoy the game like I used to. Ah, well. At least I have my ROSE private server left... EDIT: I'm actually considering quitting because too many people play it. Unless if you have a really powerful CPU (which I don't have), the lag is absolutely horrific, especially if there are 40+ other players running around on the same map during a full-scale war. |
