Okay. The fact that I didn't see a thread for this almost made me fall out of my chair. I'm not sure if you all are big Guitar Hero fans, but I am. Sooo...I just HAD to make a thread about the newest enstallment. Here's my basic review of it: First off, I think the graphics are a major and extreme improvement over previous ones. The characters look better (not to mention there are more of them -- as well as costumes and colors) but what made me have to have a double-take was the fact that I noticed the singer actually mouthing the words to the song. Appearantly Red Octane was rather proud of their ability to do that, because during songs there is often a close-up on the singer's face. Third, they have added some great songs on this thing. They even show the year the song was first played beside it. So if you like older songs from the early 90's or even 70's or some more recent ones, it'll be on there. I am very pleased with the variety. Some people had complaints about the more contemporary songs on there, but different people like different eras of rock music, so I think they did a good job trying to make everyone happy this time. The Battle Mode is really cool. though there are only three whatever level of difficulty of carreer mode you choose. I think they probably should've taken more of an advantage of this feature, but if you really want to play plenty of battles, you have the choice to challenge someone online. However, if you're someone (like me) who doesn't have any online connections due to location (or the fact that the internet company out here is lazy), you'll have to make due with the three that come as you play the game. Favorite songs on here? Well, there are very very many. I loved the fact that they had AFI and The Killers on there, but I was kinda dissappointed there wasn't the return of My Chemical Romance after their debut on the second game for the 360. Muse's Knights of Cydonia is a song that likes to get stuck in my head. Um...There's a bonus song by Rise Against which made me happy. Guns n' Roses. (They have Slash! YES! <3) Some Rage Against the Machine. (Some Tom Morello mixed in.) You have some classic Weezer. Some Tenacious D (I kid you not.). And a ton of other good songs that I just can't think of right off the bat. Oh, and Dragonforce on Expert is probably the most impossible song on the planet. Period. |

Was going to get this on Black Friday, but Guitar Hero THREE didn't come with a guitar, only Guitar Hero TWO came with a package. Well, 3 did come with a package, but only for XBOX 360 or the Nintendo Wii. |

Really? Because my cousin got the package for his PS3 by getting the PS2 version I think...or something like that. I wasn't able to really see his box throughout the clutter of his room. x__X'' But I know we were playing it on his PS3 when I went over there. I, personally, have the 360 version. Appearantly there's an MCR package for GHII that you can get over Xbox Live for five dollars. I can't get Xbox Live at the time, though, so I can't get it. T__T It has stuff from their old CDs, as well as some newbies from the Black Parade. My cousin told me about it, since he's aware of my appearant 'obsession' with their music. He has Xbox Live, so that's how he figured it out. How I envy hiiiim. |

Why the HELL does Guitar Hero need to be released for PS3 if it's already out for the PS2? It wouldn't even generate that much of a difference. |

I need the guitar. The PS3 does not have the same controller slot as the PS2. I figured that if Guitar Hero III came out for the PS3, then there would be a guitar for the PS3 :p. Whoooo go mish ;3. |
