Would the next in line please step up to the podium?" came a voice, shrill and irritated, to the ears of the spurned pilot. Adjusting his manacles to weigh less heavily on his ragged wrists, he preceded the electric prod of the bailiff.

The room was hardly becoming of the great Tritonian empire. It was barren and cold, carved from an unpleasant brown stone. But, it was rare for someone to have messed up so royally as to be brought there. His eyes burned when the black bag was removed from his head and light flooded them.

"The case of Soto T. DiGiacomo, experimental vehicle pilot. Would the commanding officer please make her presence known?"

Guinevere stood from her desk and rose a hand. Her hair was pulled tight to the back of her head and her suit was pressed and authoritative.

"Very well, you may begin."

"This will be quick," assured the admiral. "On Junoh 41 the pilot in question was found aiding the escape of prisoners from our lost prison ship, Purgatorio. As such, the Admiralty Board has decided to dishonorably discharge."

"How do you plead, Lieutenant?" the judge asked, shooting Soto a hideous look.

Soto looked down at his hands.

"I couldn't just let them all die."

---

He was now on the other side of the world. After his tribunal, Soto skipped out of Tritonia in his original fighter prototype. Though less maneuverable than the advanced design that Glanrim helped with, it could hold its own. He didn't care where he went; he just needed out.

Now flying over the vast Luxarian savannah, Soto spied a ruin, shimmering like a mirage. In a moment of rage, he smashed the button on his joystick to drop a bomb, banking left to circle around and watch the impact.

The air was still. Unlike the normal breeze that regulates the heat in the temple, there was nothing. Being in the intense heat all day, staying inside the ruins would be suicide, and Teer was not one for that.

Teer was slumped against a wall, with a few fellow students, all wearing magestic white robes, with a pure gold pendant with a red ruby embedded in the centre. The pendant was a head of a Wyvern, this allows the user to walk with the beasts they fight to protect. This pendant also grants the Wyvernmasters, the Guardians of the temple, the ability to capture the life essence of the wyvern, and gain the power to transform into their 'aspect' form.

"Bah, What I would do for a ice bath right about now!" Guinix exclaimed to Teer and Jeneve. Guinix was a WyvernRider, a wild group of guardians who was placed alongside a newborn wyvern and it's mother. The pair will grow together, and have inseparable bond for life. Jeneve was a Wyvernmage, a elite group of mages, who can communicate with Wyverns, create illlusions, and cast spells.
"I could chill your body core a degree?" Jeneve replied, pushing her glasses up her nose, in a matter-of-fact way. Teer remained silent, observing the sky, and the idle banter.

The tribe was serene, the temple was in two halfs, the visible ruins, and a underground metropolis, with breeding facilities and training areas, the royal chambers and millatary stronghold.
A glint in the sun gained Teer's attention. "Guys, it's too warm for flying, what's that thing up there?" Pointing at the high speed oncoming object.

The dropping bomb flashed Soto back to the ghastly scene of the sinking Purgatorio, one of Corsair's secret fleet of three for the imprisonment of those deemed "immediate threats" to Exiona. What brought him to all of this - his dishonorable discharge, theft of military property, and rage at the world around him - was that scumbag pirate with the lavender streak in his hair. The vagabond crew of the Diamond Overture was to blame.

In Exiona, he was forced to conspire against Corsair by infiltrating the prison ship, thanks to the lowly pirate captain's role in saving Soto's life. The fallen prince of Exiona - the would-be heir had King Dourmn not been imprisoned aboard the Purgatorio and had Corsair's regime not come to power - accompanied Soto to the prison ship, and his false story of being shot down gained the two access. There, it all went to hell; the ship was sunk, thousands died, hundreds of sinister men ran off with Jagger, and, most of all, the sudden appearance of Guinevere.

Soto clenched his fist around the joystick, idling in midair. As the first bomb fell, he locked on to the temple once more; and shaping it in his mind, he dropped another bomb.

Teer's golden yellow eyes was focused on the object, too small to be a dragon or wyvern. Then it happened.
"SHIT! Thats not good!" Teer yelled, suddenly snapping Janeve and Guinix attention onto him.
"Guinix, you get everyone inside. Janeve, you can cover me, keep your eyes on me, Im going up there!"
Guinix stood up, and clapped his hands together, and the floor shook, a seemingly useless pile of boulders, yet out of place, risen up out the sand, to reveal Basar, Guinix's companion. With a nod at Teer, Guinix jumped onto the juvenile wyvern, and strode off into the temple.
Teer and Janeve ran toward the wall that surrounded the ruins, Janeve muttering spells and incantations, and Teer untieing the rope belt that kept his robes on.

The red markings that ran throughout his body began to glow, his body mass swelling, bones becoming denser, skin turning into scales, and billowing wings grew on his arms. He was Tigrex. With a light roar, he took off toward the dropped object.

And suddenly, Soto felt no pleasure in the impending explosion. It was like Exiona without the pain of murder; the walls falling outward, propelled by a heated blast of swirling Fire auria, the screams cut short by falling doom. Rage, once more, failed to bring him closure.

He didn't even need to see it happen this time. He was just wasting precious moments of his worthless existence. The sun beat down through the tinted windshield as he flipped a few levers and pushed forward on the propulsion. The jet of blue behind the craft intensified as it pushed off in the direction of a mild dust storm.

It was then, in one of his hundreds of mirrors, that he chanced a glance back. Something was coming out of the ruin.

((Short, but, well, yeah. Go ahead and do what you will with the bomb, it's your temple, I won't blow it up without consent :D maybe even toss it back at Soto.))

'Esta, tu assain!" a shrill voice pierced the air.

A sudden surge of wind filled Teer's wings, accelerating him to his maximum speed. A quick look down saw Janeve, pointing her staff at Teer, pushing him and the now two projectiles back towards the the previous owner.

Teer flattened his body, limbs fully stretched out, his long muscular tail acting as a paddle, he was ready for the contact between him and the attacker. Closing the gap was easy, the hard part was the chase afterward.

"Teer, you are going to miss, pass the flyer, and glide down onto it." Janeve pushed into his head, a basic skill for mages was telepathy, and Janeve knew she could only do it one way.

Back on the surface, Guilnix and Basar strode over to Janeve, knowing too well that his work was done. "Jan, tell him we are all counting on him!" Guilnix jutted out, hoping that this wouldnt get out of hand. Janeve nodded, held a hand to her forehead, and transferred their best wishes to Teer, who acknowleged by letting out a cry.

"Rrooouuuuu!"

Soto raised his goggles above his eyes and squinted, narrowing his sights on the little chunk of yellow debris in his mirror. It looked flat and wide, like one of Tritonia's glider suits, but its drastic climb into the sky meant it couldn't be a glider. Its movements were precise, deliberate. Whatever it was, it was coming right for him, and it didn't look happy.

When it came closer, Soto couldn't believe his eyes.

"Oh, motherf-" he spat, waving his cannonhand and erasing one of the evoked explosives from his dreamscape. The other, following Soto's guidance, rose in a spiral around the approaching creature. When the two looked to be close together, Soto triggered it remotely. A cloud of fire blocked the pilot's view of the dragon.

He pointed his nose away from the fire and ignited the thrusters, shooting forth through the desert air. Sweat gleamed on his brow as he glanced backward nervously toward the wall of fire.

A searing hear penetrated Teer, followed by a intense brightness, loud explosion, and a scatter of shrapnel into the leather like skin.
On the ground, Janave and Guilnix watch in horror, as Teer was engulfed in a acrid black cloud, making their efforts look like nothing happened. Janave held her staff in both hands, and raised it above her head. "Esh, Sunparte!" she yelled, spinning the staff, and embedding it into the floor.
As soon as the staff touched the sand, the back winds she had previously conjoured, begain to turn into bellowing gales, tearing away the cloud from Teer.

Meanwhile, back in the sky, Teer grew blind with rage, the red aspect markings, now pulsing and throbbing, pushed him into even more of a blond fury. What's more dangerous than a wyvern? A angry one.

When the explosive cloud dispersed, Soto could see that he'd missed; worse still, the dragon looked a tad bit pissed off. And though he assumed that he was the only airship around for miles, he still thought it prudent to send out an emergency pulse. He had yet to panic, but he knew that the Paegosos was built for larger targets. It was easy enough to point the nose of the craft at a large ship and pull the trigger; it was a whole other thing trying to shoot down a target smaller and quicker than Soto.

Though the creature was gaining on him, Soto slowed down and opened the cockpit, stepping onto the wing. Metal plates slid over his feet, reacting to his weight, and held him firm as the autopilot leveled with the horizon. He reached behind the seat and grabbed a high-powered rifle, issued to him by the Tritonian navy in case of a crash in lands with large natural predators. He never thought he'd need to use it.

Soto closed one eye and scoped in on the Wyvern, and fired.

A Piercing pain grazed Teer's left wing, but he shook it off as he brought hisself level to the craft, now with its pilot on the hull, weapon smoking. Teer was now a arms strech away from the attacker, and he could feel the warmth of the fire being expelled from it on his scaly face.

Back on the ground, Guilnix and Janeve watched in awe at the two combatants in midair. They both knew that they couldn't do anything now.

Meanwhile, back in the clouds, Teer was just about to land on the craft.
