4551 on the 3:30PM 111 to Chadds Ford today (4462 block). I must say this bus left kinda cramped but not standing load. 5589 on the 4:00 PM 122 that goes to the 305 (4674 block) was recently repainted and the rear stripe is PURPLE! Also, Dave actually had a 40 footer as opposed to an Eldorado today on his 110 / 4436 block. It was 5597, which now sports a full wrap for the Adventure Aquarium like 5430, 5588, and 5661 had last year. Like the Wired 96.5 wrap on 5591, this wrap does not cover all of the windows or the front of the bus.

Yes, what is going on at Red Arrow. I was on 4551 (111 4462) at 3:30 and we had a full standing load by the time we hit State and Burmont Roads. Why would they put this bus on a 111 to Chadds Ford.

Just saw this on SEPTA's website......anyone know what happened
Due to emergency repairs to the platform at 69th Street Terminal, Route 100 Express and Local service to Hughes Park will not operate during AM & PM peak hours until further notice. Norristown Local and Express service will continue to stop at Hughes Park. [/B]

The buses are getting busier with the high fuel costs. I ride the 6:35 AM 111 in the morning and there is usually 9 or 10 people the entire trip. The last week or so we have almost filled the bus. I would hate to see the 6:555 111 as this trip was already pretty full, sometimes with standees.

The 65 is a mess. They are doing road work on City Line Ave which has the route running 15-20 minutes behind schedule throughout the day. In the afternoon I usually catch the 3:15 PM (5207 block) from 63/Malvern. The last 3 days I have gotten on block 9613, which is supposed to be at 63/Malvern at 2:48 PM. To make matters worse for this operator, the wheelcahir ramp got stuck on 5052 at 66/Malvern on Friday afternoon. Another bus did not arrive until 3:50 PM.....35 minutes later the same time the mechanic did. Of course all the mechanic had to do was shake the ramp like 3 times and it went back in. Some people were livid.

Huh? When did this happen - I was just on the 100 at 5:30 and everything seemed perfectly fine.

I was amazed to see that the hughes park expresses and Bryn Mawr locals apparently board on the same platform. 69th Street is quite busy at that time.

Now, I dont understand quite how 69th Street affects Hughes Park Express/Local trains. It seems like it would have something more to do with switching at Hughes Park, but meh, what do I know?

When I went through 69th St. this morning they were announcing no Hughes Park Express or Norristown Limited service. They were running 2 car Norristown Express trains and Bryn Mawr locals. They were cars sitting at all three platforms, so I couldn't tell where the problem was.

Updated this morning, the service not running has changed from Hughes Park trips to Norristown Limiteds. Check SEPTA Travel Advisories for more information.

On Fox local news this morning, they showed an aerial shot of 5009 in an accident @ 11th & South Street. It appears the bus was broadsided by an automobile and pushed into a CVS.

As of 12:20 this afternoon

Due to emergency repairs to the platform at 69th Street Terminal, Route 100 limited service will not operate during AM & PM peak hours. Norristown Express service will operate two car trains every 15 minutes in place of limited service.
