ah yes, 4502 is back in service on its home route, the 310. Yep, just another overhauled Dorado with the same whirr and whatnot, but at least it got a bike rack again. disappointing, 4502 was kind of grungy, but in the era of dorado overhauling, it was kind of cool i supposed. I havent seen 4501 yet, but i know whne i see it, it may break my heart - it was my favorite El Dorado before overhaul, now it will just be some bland type cheap sounding thing... |

Saw 3489 (or 3389) on the 8 and 3474 at Olney Terminal and rode 72XX on the 18. Had a weird bee like sound, maybe the ac/ heater was broken. |

3474 was retired sometime in 2002 because it overheated & caught fire while travelling along I 76 in Montgomery County while on a trip on the 124, that Labor Day weekend at that. 3474 has been off the roster for nearly 4 years now & 3474 was another Oxford Valley/124/125 stronghold. 3474 got some play on the Norristown rotues but 3474 was a highway bus that anyone could enjoy. 3474 was later assigned to Callowhill to do it's tasks. 3474 had a nice appearance at all times but on that day in 2002, 3474 was in the wrong palce at the wrong time. While at Midvale, 3474 was relegated to inner city travel on the North Philly routes. |
