Both Millenium RTS buses were sighted in South Jersey today. First 4201 [Suburban version] was seen on its usual afternoon/evening run on the 403, and 4101 [transit version] was deadheading on White Horse Pike in Collingswood around 7 pm today.

I gave 4201 a good ride last Saturday. The bus kind of rattled a little bit as it was cruising on White Horse Pike, and there was a funny clicking noise coming from the roof-mounted HVAC unit. I also got a picture, and it will be posted when I'm ready to download the pics from my camera.

I heard an interesting clicking sound from the a/c unit of 5886 - I wonder if it's some sort of roof thermoking a/c thing.

Whatever happened to Sutrak anyway?

I saw 2320 on the 15 last night. It was decorated for the holidays. There were multiple strings of Christmas lights around the entire outside of the trolley. There were also decorations on the inside like hanging snowflakes, red ribbons, etc. the bus looked quite festive (and cool)!

Rode 7231 on the 80 today - that bus was incredibly slow! I think the turbo lag didn't kick in until REALLY late - like the 3rd gear or so.

Therefore, missing my connection to the 8 (which I think was a Neoplans) I rode some ZFer (5791?) to Frankford. Missed a Neoplan there, but managed to catch one back to FTC.

I went downtown and hopped a ride on NJT's 4201. The engine sound was interesting, different from their Neoplans, although with similar shifting. The interior was lovely, although a big drab and cold with all the grey. There are actually no push strips - like the MCIs, you have to press the red button to signal the stop. I was surprised to see that the sliver windows also were emergency exits.

You can get this bus around 7:30-7:40 on Market St (Broad and Cherry @ 7:45) weeknights except for Wednesday. This runs on route 403.

I like the Flxibles better though.

Wow, interesting how this happens - 5490 had it's rear route sign upside down or something, as "14" appeared that way. Also, 7218 had its side sign upside down as well!

Also rode 3418 on the 8 - it had a lot more oomph and power than it did the last time I rode it.
