Not to many 'highway' buses today for septa even though the 8000 series/zfers dd50 does come pretty close; however, none of them are that fast to keep up with traffic on I-76 at times going 70mph.

There are a few buses assigned at victory (does numbers which i am not going to release) that does clock at 70mph on the expressway.

3471 was recently retired and it was a good 'highway' bus when it was at callowhill back i 2001. It used to tear up the 44 and manage to keep up in traffic ehile doing it.

NBC 10 just reported that an auto has collided with a trolley at 59th & Haverford. 2330 was the damaged car. The auto hit the trolley so hard that it derailed.

Yet another PCC-II on the IR.

How many times am I going to say this. If you want to see 8000's pushed to the limit, catch ANY nightliner 68 Express, or any UPS bound 108. All I have been seeing down there since the new year is 5600's turtles, and 8000's running all the Southern trips.

And for the record, the 8000's top speed is about 67 mph, along both Hog Island, and Bartram.

Has any one seen 3389 recently? I want to take one more ride before those bums scrap her.

Thank you.

I almost forgot.

9099 got transfered to Callowhill Saturday night. Me and Chuck the supervisor ran her through the hole cause the diversion was blocked by idiots who can't park on Filbert St.

On Friday morning, 1-6-06, I had the fortune of getting off the 36 @ 64th & Elmwood Avenues westbound & noticing an 8000 broken down, idled, ran out of fuel, laying there at 63rd & Elmwood Avenue, probably as a deadhead for the 108. I always spot an 8000 on the deadhead for the 108 to 65th & Elmwood Avenue,7003 block daily.
5636 is still at Southern, I spotted it on the G today.

managed to ride 3399 on the 66 last night, the only Neo on the route at the time, and saw 3286 laying over on the 58 to County Line Rd.

I also rode 5287, where apparently some bad kids, who take pleasure in throwing projectiles at moving buses, shattered the window underneath the side destionation sign on the way back to the TC. Fortunately it had that plastic inner lining, and no glass was able to get inside (that's one of the benefits of the plastic inner window). I noticed that more and more buses, like 5512, do not have this inner plastic window.

Speaking of 5512, rode it on the 8, and the transmission is shot apparently - rough shifts, loud noise, and everything, yet it was not a hover....

Well several bizzare sightings today....

For one 3411 was spotted on the route 64 today at around 10am at 49th street and parkside. It's pretty rare to see neoplans operating on the route 64; however, they still apparently do.

5617 is apparently assigned at Callowhill where today it is operating on the route 38.
