The Route 64 interior sign readings show up at the stop announcement for "Paoli Pike and Concord Road" (which should really be announced as "West Goshen Shopping Center" but that's another story). Sounds like a software glitch that SEPTA (surprise, surprise) never bothered to fix. |

On the 18 @ Broad Street, the inside announcements for the routes serving the Olney Avenue Terminal include everything including Route G , reading something like: OLNEY TERMINAL, FOR ROUTES C, "G", L, 8,22,26, 55 & THE BROAD STREET SUBWAY, ALBERT EINSTEIN, GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL. This was a few years back. They may have gotten this straightened out by now. |

They never corrected the mistake - not even after the inside announcements were updated last year. This error only happens on eastbound Route 18 buses. The actual announcement is "Broad Street - Olney Terminal - for Routes G, 8, 22, 55, C, L and the Broad Street Subway, Einstein Hospital, and Girls High School." I guess they don't bother to mention the 26 because its first connection is at Chew and Chelten, and the Route 80 wasn't created until 2000. |

An mix consist of Silverliners IV and II's were on the R6 today. #9011 was the leading unit. Very interesting considering I rarely see Silverliner II being used on Sundays nevertheless on Saturdays. |

I saw a Neo on the 66 this afternoon . Missed the number, though. I rode the 104, EL, 14, 77, 23, & 65 , then the 104 back home. Each vehicle was either too hot or too cold. The 104 back home did not have the A/C on. Some guy in the back popped the hatch open so we got some air. After Newtown Square, the bus emptied out, and it was tolerable. Chuck Greene |

5596 was on 107 4342 block today. Also K-car 123 is back from Kawasaki after repairs following a collision with 110 at Bywood several months ago. It was fresh without any ads. The numbers are in a different font than other K-cars. I will keep an eye out for 110. Also, Dave had 5859 today for his 109 / 4407. This bus, which is supposed to only appear on the 105 due to the partial streetside wrap for Applebee's at 77th and City, had good climate control. |

Hung out for a while this afternoon at 19th and Walnut snapping pics. 5401 was on the 17 / 7337 block. Don't know why but I guess it broke down on the 108 in Southwest Philly. Hopefully I'll be able to find out. The 17 was infested with 8000s. Only about 2 or 3 Turtles showed up along with 5244 (326 block). It appears as though 5244 is now assigned to Southern. Also saw a Lawn Mower on the 2. The 9 was ALL Neoplans this afternoon. I saw 7210, 7220, 7233, 7237, and 7250 among others. During the day Ikaruses appear with some Neos but it seems as though for some strange reason all the PM trips are Neoplans. I thought the whole point of the 9 going to Midvale was so it could use 40 footers. If they're gonna use Neoplans on it they may as well have kept it at Allegheny. |

As of 12:00 on SEPTA website: Shuttle buses are operating for El service between 30th and 56th Street Stations due to police activity at 40th Street Station. Anyone know what happened? |

Joseph, as for the 9, 60 foot articulated necessary during the school year, as well as during peak periods. The 9 serves Roxborough High School(Ridge & Fountain). Artics are used on the 9 during peak periods for several reasons that I don't know. But I'm certain that the last thing that any route 9 rider that resides in the Roxborough area after working in town all day & riding a bus to get out of town is to ride a slow NABI that drags along I 76, as well as Ridge Avenue in Manayunk(@ Manayunk Avenue) & Ridge Avenue(between Leverington Avenue & Domino Lane). Keep in mind that a bus can break down on a 9 & that next bus needs to be able to receive it's load plus the load from the bus that broke down. If an artic broke down, the next bus could be a NABI/New Flyer crowded from being delayed downtown, bypassing the load from the artic that broke down. And heaven forbid if the R6 to Elm, Main & DeKalb Streets isn't running. |
