that would be nice - if you are interested in routings though, there are at least suburban transit maps from back in the day with the information for old routes. I believe the one at norristown Transportation Center has the 1989 routings, as does the one at 69th Street Terminal.

What happened to the routes from 1989 that NewFlyer8119 mentioned? Well...

1. Route 45 is now Route 125. In 1989, the 45 was split between Allegheny (CTD) & Victory (STD). Late that year, it was renumbered as Route 125. At that time, Allegheny's half of the route was transferred to Frontier. More recently, the route became an all-Victory operation. The routing has not been altered all that much over the years.

2. Route 49 is now Route 121. Basically the same routing now as in 1989. In 1989, the 49 was split between Callowhill & Victory, while now the 121 is all-Callowhill.

3. Route 81 from Decker Square (Bala Cynwyd) to Springfield Mall was discontinued on December 7, 1990. Basically, the routing followed City Ave./Township Line Rd. (US 1) most of the way. I rode the last run of the 81 with Doug Diehl that evening on RTS #8275. You can find a photo of this bus in one of the PTV photo albums. By the way, if anyone remembers the old Route 69 from Manayunk to Bala, that was also discontinued on the same day as the 81. The same block # & bus closed out both routes.

4. Route 83 from Brookline to Darby did not exist under that number in 1989. It had been merged with the Route 72 in 1986 to form the still-existing Route 115. The current routing of the 115 between Brookline & Darby is very similar (but not identical) to that of the 83.

5. Route U was merged into Route 108 in April, 1993. The portion of the 108 between 67th & Elmwood & the Airport is much the same as the former U. (At that time, the 108 was split between Southern & Victory. The U had been a Southern route.)

6. Routes P, 4, & 16 were discontinued in the 1990's & not directly replaced.

7. Routes 2, 21, & 42 are still with us & the routing of all these in 1989 is still the same basic routing today, except that in 1989, all Rt. 42 trips ended at 61st & Pine, & the 21 had two branches-Wycombe & 69th St. The Wycombe routing was later transferred to the 42.
