I think that 1987-88 was the last year they printed the schedules in blue.
Later on in '88, they started to them in the current black with the bus logo (ie trolley, rail, subway/elevated, trackless trolley logo) symbolizing the "We're Getting There" era.
HERE'S what I was talking about:
This is from 1992 (The year when I've became a fan of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority!)

This is still from the "WE'RE GETTING THERE" era. From 1992. ;)
Remember back in 1993 or 1994 that SEPTA started to put the Neoplan on the schedule. It looked like it was making a turn on the schedule.
