Noticed something strange about the blocks at Red Arrow today. Apparantly on weekends they are trying something new out. Rather than using the same starting point as weekdays, they are starting higher. I noticed this on 113/115/114/305/114/305 5408 I think it was (definately a shark) which was 4510 last pick on Saturdays but displayed a 4537 block. Last time I saw a 113 block that high was when they had the OWL service and were running 4540 and 4541 as the nightliners. Then I saw the 4:40PM 109 which was 5882 and it displayed 4418 block - the highest block I've ever seen on the 109! This trip was 4403 block last pick. Any idea as to what exactly is going on? |

On the Midvale routes, they used to have a system for the 6 in which they numbered the blocks between 100-122 on weekdays and 050-057 on the weekends and holidays. On the 18, they currently start with 3001 block on Saturdays but block 3020 just shows up out of nowehere in the middle of Saturday morning. Block 3019 shows up on Saturday afternoon. On the Midvale share of the C, they used to number the weekday blocks from 800 through 860 block. They also used to start from 851 block and run through 885 block on weekends and holidays. As for the 70, they used to number their blocks from 100 through 120 on weekends and holidays. The current weekday block system that is used on the current 70 was the one that was used several years ago. |
