The route folded due to low ridership. For the trouble, SEPTA could have just keep the 76 running, it never broke any ridership records but at least it had a useful purpose. What other line could get you from Penn's Landing to the Zoo with one fare? None. |

The Center City Shopping Spree stopped running in the spring of 2003. The only Callowhill buses with the special wraps were 5433-5436. |

I don't agree... It was a route that duplicated a lot of the existing services in the Center City area, and I think everyone other than those who came up with the idea for the SPREE knew ridership was going to be dismal. |

They should have kept the 76. The concept of the Spree never should have came into existence. They could have reduced the headways down to either 30 or 45 minutes. Simply, if you were going to ride the 76, keep a schedule nearby. |

If they were to bring the 76 back. That bus would be popular. but now since the 15 is bus, were would the bus sit and load and pick up the passengers. i think i remember seeing a neoplan on the platform of the Zoo.... |

whatever happened to the 202 and the 203, were they just cut due to the new budget plan in 2001 or were they just lost causes for buses also, how the heck are people supposed to get to/from newton nowadays if they cant rely on the 301,302, or old R8 service? |

SSEPTA really needs to eliminate the 130 and extend the 14 into Newtown & resume revenue service through Hulmeville. When the 14 was the B(it became 14 in 1985, then between 1985 through 1988), the 14 ran through Hulmeville during weekdays, until about 6:30pm & up until 7pm on Saturdays, no Sunday service. The 14 trips that ran through Hulmeville covered the Hulmeville segment via Neshaminy Boulevard. I think it used Pasqualone Boulevard but I definitely know that the route ran along Hulmeville Road & served Penndel(Lincoln Highway & Durham Avenue), en route to Oxford Valley Mall. If SEPTA extended the 14 to Newtown, have it leave from Nehsaminy via Rockhill Road, Old Lincoln Highway, Street Road west to somewhere where 413 would connect then have the 14 run to Bucks County Community College. Yes provide service on the 14 through Newtown on Sundays as well. |

And as I said before, re extend the 20 to Neshaminy Mall & Philadelphia Park via PA 132. Reinstate the weekday am peak rush hours only Brookwood service as well. Years ago, the 20 also had trips that originated & terminated @ Frankford & City Line, running over the 84 in Morrell Park(Morrell Avenue) then either through Modena Park(Keswick Road) or going to Frankford(via Academy Road). The 20 also had trips originating & termianting @ Woodhaven & Thornton Roads. Now that Philadelphia Park has slots, I think SEPTA should give service modifications on the 20 a thought. |
