Is it true that the 26 used to be spilt between Midvale and Frankford at one point?

Is it true that the 26 used to be spilt between Midvale and Frankford at one point?

A long time ago, the 26 [and the S before it became the 18] were split between Frankford and Germantown. In 1985, when the S changed to the 18, and the 26 was rerouted to Frankford Terminal, the 18 was all Germantown, and the 26 was all Frankford. When Germantown closed in 1992, the 18 was moved to Luzerne then to Midvale when it opened, and the 26 began a pattern of either being all Frankford, then split between Frankford and Midvale, and now all Midvale.

When the 26 was a trolley, it ran out of Luzerne. Starting in the late 40's, the 26 ran Peter Witts on weekdays, and PCC's on weekends.

Whyen Germantown closed in 1992, the 18 was moved to Luzerne then to Midvale when it opened, and the 26 began a pattern of either being all Frankford, then split between Frankford and Midvale, and now all Midvale.

When the 26 was a trolley, it ran out of Luzerne. Starting in the late 40's, the 26 ran Peter Witts on weekdays, and PCC's on weekends.

The 26 ran exclusively from Frankford from Sunday June 16, 1985 until Sunday June 16, 2002. 17 years to be exact.

Around that time, the W was split between the 19 & 67. The 19 ran along Algon Avenue(Krewstown), Grant to Boulevard, turning back at Blue Grass Road. The 67 served the Tomlinson Road neighborhoods, looping around Rennard Street.

The 20 had 3 divisions, as follows:

20: Knights/ Mechanicsville Roads(via Academy Road or Morrell, Keswick, Chalfont)
20: Woodhaven/Thornton Roads

Some of the trips on the 20 either started or ended at the City Line Loop(66) continuing along the lower end(bottom of hill) Morrell Avenue in Morrell Park.

Beginning in 1988, the 20 was extended to Neshaminy Mall & the 14 no longer ran through Hulmeville.

Some trips on the 20 ran along Red Lion & Knights Roads. The 67 absorbed the Knights & Red Lion Road part of the 20 in September 1988.

The 20 ran outbound along Medford Road & inbound along Academy Road in the Parkwood area.

Also when Germantown closed, the 18 was also split between Luzurne and Frankford. The 26 used to be all Frankford until the time that is shown in the posting before this one.

Up until 1998ish, the 26 didn't run to Bridge & Pratt on Sundays and Holidays.

The 26- Frankford Terminal via Torresdale Avenue routing was oeprated on weekdays only. On Saturdays, all Frankford Terminal trips operated via Frankford Avenue.

The old sunday/holiday fequencies of the 26 between Rising Sun Avenue & Chelten/Pulaski was a basic 30 minute headway.

The 89 is supposed to be split between Midvale and Frankford.

The 89 is all Midvale, they are supposed to use the El Dorado's for the 89 and Frankford does not have El Dorado's. I think that the 89 should be combined with the J.
