Yesterday on 2 Midvale buses, I saw new SEPTA ads advertising certain bus routes (I saw an ad for the 65 and the 9). These ads have the route number in huge boldly colored print, then a little marketing thing for the route, and the background is a collage of SEPTA stuff.

It's kinda interesting, and is something like what I'd hoped SEPTA would do. Did you see any of these?

Hey, what is the best cheesesteak place that is somewhat close to Manyunk that is served by the 65?

I think the answer to your question is (I cannot remember the name but I know the location) at Henry Avenue and Walnut Lane, a block up the street from the 65, also served by the 32.

The name of the steak shop is "Chubby's", which serves steaks, hoagies, cold beer
and sides. This is of course served by route 32. The 9 runs along Ridge Avenue a block up.

Rose water ice is a water ice stand located along Roxborough Avenue in Manayunk, a block up from Manayunk Avenue,s erved by 27. They make good water ice.

There used to be a good water ice shop in East Falls at 30 St and Allegheny (Mimmo's), but I don't know if it's there anymore.

Getting back on topic, I wonder if they're going to expand into the suburban routes. Somehow, I get a feeling that I might see an ad for the 127 pop up on buses operating in West Chester (I wouldn't put it past SEPTA to do that).

Or even better, expansion of advertisements for Comly routes(like the 20) on a Callowhill NABI(5008) or Flyer(5428).

At Henry/Walnut you have 3 good choices for cheesesteaks. In addition to Chubby's there is Dalessandro's (across Henry Ave from Chubby's) and Fiesta (a half-block north on Henry Ave from Dalessandro's). Happy eatin'.
