1. Introduce a limited-stop service to supplement the 14 (74); the 74 would make the following stops on Roosevelt Blvd: Cottman Ave (70, 77) Rhawn St (28) Pennypack Circle (20, 50) Welsh Rd (88) Grant Ave (19) Red Lion Rd (1) Haldeman Ave (67) Comly Rd (1, 67) Byberry Rd Southampton Rd (84) County Line Then, express via US 1 to Neshaminy Mall; local to Oxford Valley Mall via Lincoln Hwy. The 14 would keep the local routing between Frankford and Neshaminy Mall, then operate via Lincoln Hwy to Oxford Valley Mall. Service to Langhorne Boro would be covered by Route 127. I doubt there's a real need for the 14 to deviate through Langhorne where ridership appears to be minimal at best. 2. Extend the 12 to 49-Parkside, replacing the short-turn trips on the 52. It would provide the same level of service between 50-Woodland and 52-Jefferson. The 12 would make the following limited stops between 52-Baltimore and 52-Jefferson: 52-Jefferson 52-Lancaster (10) 52-Girard (15) 52-Haverford (30) 52-Market (El) 52-Chestnut (21 E) 52-Walnut (21 W) 52-Spruce (42) 52-Baltimore (34) It would then make the local routing between 52-Baltimore to Woodland Shops then pick up the existing 12 routing to Society Hill from there. 3. Re-brand the 35 in a similar fashion to the Hampden and Mondowman Shuttle Bugs operating in Baltimore with a reduced fare and/or a special all-day fare and give the line a special name. In concert with that, purchase new 30-35 ft low floor buses (ie. Optima) for this line - and for that matter, other lines in the system to get rid of these ugly Lawnmowers and Chumps. 4. During peak hours (at a minimum), re-route the 38, 40, 44, 65, and/or 121 to serve the Presidential Blvd corridor in Lower Merion (on the other side of City Line Ave). There's no bus service to those office complexes and you're basically taking your life into your own hands if you try to cross City Line Ave at any time during the day, much less rush hour. 5. Convert the 121 into a Regional Rail connector route, and extend it to Plymouth Meeting Mall, terminiating at Bala Station on City Line Ave. Transfer operations from CTD to Frontier. |

The 38 is the line that used to serve the Presidential Boulevard office complexes in Lower Merion Township. SEPTA ran the 38 through this area, as well as "Zoo" until 1993. SEPTA provided weekday & Saturday service on the 38 to City Avenue/Conshohocken State Road. The last trip was 5:00pm on all 6 days. The Bala Cynwyd trips would go straight to City Av/Conshohocken State Road, come back to Winding Lane, layover, then continue to 6th & Market via Mantua or the Zoo. At this point, I think the 44 would be the only route that would gain a significant ridership base in that general area. Keep the 121 in the hands of City Operators but once again rename the route 44G. |

Split the 18 into two divisions still going to Cedarbrook Mall and Fox Chase with one running via Cheltenham Avenue past the Cheltenham Mall and the other going the regular route. |

Wouldn't that require a separate route number (ie. 78)? Would this new routing also serve Olney or run down Cheltenham Ave on the entire length? Still, an intriguing idea to say the least, even if you already have the C and 22 running down portions of Cheltenham Ave already. Not sure how that benefits riders on the regular 18 route. |

I hope the poster recommending restoration of PCC service on the 23 & TT coaches in South Philly was having a little fun.
