The operator that has 2103 block on the 75 always has a Neo. So the time is running short , if you want your last rides. The schedule weekdays, Tuesday to Friday is: Leave Arrott , 5:21 AM, 6:25, 7:40,8:55, 10:15,& 11:35. Leave Wayne Junction, 5:45, 6:53, 8:10, 8:24, 10:44 & 12:04 PM Sunday & Monday my friend is off, and Saturdays he is on the 59 (with a New Flyer) Chuck Greene |

Route 75, 2103 Block , broke down this morning at 7:25 at Arrott, a bad bellows. It was a Flyer, and the bus was taken back for a swap and the driver got a Nabi. So the 7:25 Trip dropped out and my friend on the 7:40 trip (2102 block) moved up and split the street. The swap was done quickly and the line is pretty much back to normal now, I think. My buddy has 3396 today, a Neo. 3427 still has balky back doors, they can't fix it. Chuck Greene |

I went up to Arrot Terminal today and rode the last trip of 2102 block (11:35AM) with Leon. He did indeed have 3396. He was the only Neo on the line. Not too bad of a guy. Also of note, I saw 4572 on the 53 3404 block while we were at Wayne Junction. |

Red Arrow now had 5900's that can really move!!! I had 5865 on the 108, 4376 block, the 4.15 out of UPS (now for some of ya'll that remember, that one was one of the renegade's favorites, the others being 8701, 3389, 3443, 5591, and 5592. Those units are FAST). Normally that trip is covered by 5600 VOH's, or an odd RA 5400, so a ZFer was a change in pace. I was not expecting to look up and see the speedometer peg 70. That is not an typo, and the speedometer was not broken, because we hit it again on Industrial, this time smoking a Airport Gillig at full power. This coinsides with an report from the Tri State Transit Club Manager Doug Diehl that he was passed on the Blue Route by 5826 tuesday night. Doug was doing a hard seventy. Something's up. |

Glad you met him. I'm riding tomorrow on the 10:15 & 11:35 trips. What the hell is an El Dorado doing on the 53? Is it a lightly used line??? Chuck Greene |

The 53 receives it's heaviest ridership during the peak periods. The ridership north of Chelten Avenue is next to non-existent. Ridership on the 53 on weekends depends, usually no more than 10 people per trip during normal hours. The 53 is mainly New Flyers. Back in the early 1990s, the 53 was nothing except Neo DK transits. When the 53 went bus in May 1985, Fishbowls & 1983 Neo BD transits 8435-8443 provided some of the service. The 53 was a NABI stronghold until the Flyers came but at times, notably with the oldheads, a Neo EI could be spotted on the line. |

Lockdown was fun, yesterday. There were cops searching the ROW about 500 yards north of Fern Rock station. The conductor blew the horn several times, and rang the bell as he thought the cops were people loitering on the tracks. Once they identified themselves as cops, we continued on our way. They were on the inbound track, btw. Does anyone know if SEPTA single tracked yesterday around 4:00 between Jenkintown and Fern Rock? Usually we pass an inbound train around Elkins Park, but it was waiting for us at Jenkin.. Maybe to crossover? |
