Do the Champion defender's have cords for requesting stops, or yellow strips next to the windows?

The Champions have yellow pull cords, which is much better than what the Fords had...which was your voice :)

just some end of the week recaps from me...

On thurs. night around 11:15 ish, I spotted 8019 on the route 9 at 22nd & walnut, block 3770.

this is the second time I've seen a non Midvale bus on the 9. Last time was when I rode 3490 on Sept. 5!

Today i spotted 5392 on the 13 Shuttle @ 49th & Chester Ave. back from Midvale and with a fresh paint job. (7156 block).

That's all folks!

I've Spotted 5619 & 5708 the other day. Just overhauled, but 5619 is missing its rear livery. Plain white rear end with its numbers on the back (in the standard position).

5244 & 5245 have been "light overhauled." Both nave been repainted, complete with the Arial Narrow numbers on the sides, but the the series 50 on 5244 sounds so gnarly it can wake the dead (Which is why I've referred to that bus as THE BEAST in past postings).

Plus 5244 even makes the grunting sound the 2003-2004 New Flyers make sometimes (a.k.a. "The New Flyer Chuckle" as I call it).

As for non overhauled 5600's theres still a good number that haven't went through GOH yet. I rode one the 108 early tues. Morning, 4376 block. It think the few that are still rolling untouched are the ones that are the least poopy.

Last but not least I spotted W-56 (Elmwood Work Trolley) at 15th St. Mon. night. Something about this thang gives me the creeps. Maybe cause it sounds like a shopping cart on steroids rattling down the rails or it looks like it was thrown together out of spare parts: K-car console & head lights + boxcar frame + PCC motors = W56.

'Scuse me for rambling, but thats all, folks
