Some drivers work Tuesday through Saturday. They like Sunday and Monday off.
I know of a few that do that.

Some time ago, I saw a SEPTA operator(1 at Frankford, 1 at Callowhill) that wore the old time drivers hat(with the meatball SEPTA symbol) & number(like 1471 or 1476). At Callowhill, the operators with 30 years or more work Monday through Friday straights on the 30, 31(lates),38, 40(lates), 43,44, 65 or 121(a few will work the 21 or 42).

Many of the senior Callowhill operators(bus) are still toughing it out but in all likelihood thay will definitely be going out when this contract is up.

There may be one working an owl run on the 52(3501-3503 blocks). The same holds true for the Market Frankford Nite Owl operators. The old timers that are out on "IOD" will collect transfers @ 52nd, 56th & 60th Streets. A Callowhill operator may be present @ 15th & JFK(31,38,44,121).

Years ago, many of the Luzerne operators wore that, with a suit jacket(looks like it to me, I may be wrong), with the blue pants.

No 5620 does not have a Cummins ISL 280, nor has it been overhauled.

In fact, I spotted 5620 broken down (PWNED) at Broad & Parrish last night around 1 A.M. with the rear flap up and all power off. Walking by, it looked the operator gave up on waiting for a Wrecker, cause' He/She (it was dark inside) was catchin' some ZZZ's.

On a more cheerful note, I sighted DeCamp Bus Lines MCI D4505 #528 at 10th & Market at 4:30 today. The bus comes complete with the new rear design for MCI D Series caoches, which I've Dubbed, "The Robocop A$$."

rode on rt G 8036/7658.

What i dont understand is how is a route on a 10 minute steak and your arriving 18mins late. that lady must drive slow. when her leader is at market street, she should be at baltimore av, NOT AT WOODLAND AVE. i been catching the same bus for 3 years since i been attending overbrook and i leave the house at 6:50 on the morning to get the bus that comes at 7:00 and she is always late......... It is so annoying.
