The operator on Route 75, 2102 block may have trouble getting a Neolplan assigned to him after 01/06/08. The problem is the overnight blocker who gave him one all the time is being replaced by another person (a female). So get your rides on block 2102 while you can. Actually the Neo's will be around until at least next June, so you may find one to ride. A farewell charter is being planned as we get closer to the end. Stay tuned for information on that.

Trackless news. The wires are coming down at the cutbacks.

Frankford & Welsh
16th & Courtland
7th & The Boulevard
Wyoming Circle
Castor & Hellerman

Also,no express wires between Rhawn & Cottman , they are coming down.

The trackless will be able to "diesel" around the areas where the wires are removed, no problem.

Maybe they are discontinuing the Rhawn Expresses. There are so few of them anyway.

I'm disappointed about the 2102 block driver...

I'm getting my last rides in now...as it is, they are so hard to find to ride :(.

I'm going to miss that sound that they make when they take off. That wooo-oooh-ooo..... I don't know how Neoplan got their gearing to make that sound, but I love it.

I have a sound clip of it on my computer that I am playing now.

Why bother with overhead electric systems anyways? Just use hybirds.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for trackless trolleys w/overhead wires.. But either you have a full infrastructure or not. Not a little here, a little there.

Whats their reasoning behind removing wires??

Don't ask me, less maintenance of troublesome areas?? I wish I knew, too.
