The operator on Route 75, 2102 block may have trouble getting a Neolplan assigned to him after 01/06/08. The problem is the overnight  blocker who gave him one all the time is being replaced by another person (a female). So get your rides on block 2102 while you can. Actually the Neo's will be around until at least next June, so you may find one to ride. A farewell charter is being planned as we get closer to the end. Stay tuned for information on that.

Trackless news. The wires are coming down at the cutbacks.

Frankford & Welsh
16th & Courtland
7th & The Boulevard
Wyoming Circle
Castor & Hellerman

Also,no express wires between Rhawn & Cottman , they are coming down.

The trackless will be able to "diesel" around the areas where the wires are removed, no problem.

Chuck Greene

Maybe they are discontinuing the Rhawn Expresses. There are so few of them anyway.

I'm disappointed about the 2102 block driver...

I'm getting my last rides in now...as it is, they are so hard to find to ride :(.

Good luck, already 3 failed attemps to get one at FTC!

So what the times for 2102 again?

3374 on the 75 today, 2102 block. Operator reported slow shifting form 2nd to third gear, had to play with the power pedal. Even with that, he kept the bus on schedule.
He told me 2 rail fans were waiting to ride with him early this morning.
So get your Neo rides in, guys!

Gah. Theres no way I can make it from where I live, to Arrott, in time for school. I may be able to catch it as it arrives at Wayne Junction on Friday because of my half day...

Any other always-Neoplan routes?

At this point, it's hard to say. Anything out of Frankford, on sporadic basis.

Maybe you can catch him at Wayne Junction,on his last trip at 12:04 PM, like you were saying.

I can't do it. I'd have to go from Ogontz and Olney to Wayne Junction. No way I can get there in 5 mins..

I rode 3374 last week. I thought it was just the driver driving slowly. It does seem to have a smoother shift, doesn't it?

Neos must be great to drive...

2102 driver doesn't plan to be off next week, does he? I'm kinda hoping he will be there for a ride/picture session...maybe even an interior shot that I desperately need!

I saw 3425 on the 3:15 8 today out of OTC...interesting since I don't really see Neos on the 8 anymore.

They are a wonderful bus to drive just ask that driver. That extra 6" less in width helps some times.

I don't know why we see less and less of them on the streets. Frankford needs every bus it can get to fill the schedules.

I'd say get your picture sessions in quickly, the Neo's are falling apart from lack of care.
18 years for a bus is long, long, time.

I just hope they last until when the trackless fleet comes in and are all on the streets.

One of the mechanics once described the Neoplans as "A fine piece of machinery"
