A farewell charter is being planned as we get closer to the end. Stay tuned for information on that.

Some more information on the charter"Farewell to the Neoplans".

The charter is tenatively scheduled for march 30th, Sunday. Plans will be to visit various photo locations to get pictures of the Neo alongside other SEPTA vehicles, like a PCC-II trolley. And as a special treat, a tour on the bus of Fairmount Park, tracing as much of the path of the old Woodside Park trolley as we can.

Any information needed contact Harry D. at had2709@aol.com

I do specifically need a picture of a Neo next to an artic! Interestingly enough, I already have one next to a TT.

I'm glad it's a day when I can actually go! If you find any more details (specifically cost and times) please post! I'll email as well.

As for the Neos, I will, without a shadow of a doubt, miss the smell of the interior of these buses after they've been cleaned out in the shops.

Also, anyone familiar with the Neos when one turns on the ignition, a bell(chime comes on) and they make a loud sound of puff before the ignition comes on?

I will miss the gasoline smell in the Neos as well.

Yes, 5941 is a Midvale bus and the 26 is a Midvale route.

I was on that bus, too.

Chuck

Hey I rode that bus too on the 66 :) It doesn't have as much as a "Neo jerk" as the others, though.
